I think that's a fair statement. Thinking something sucks is an expression of a subjective assessment. Saying something "isn't music" assumes one can be the arbiter of truth on what is a largely subjective matter.
And you are absolutely right "to each his own."
I have a nice drive in WV coming up and this thread reminded me I have to put together music for the drive. I don't want to be hunting for Hanson or the Bieb on my winding drive.
