Reliability of Factory Alarm

Its not a viper alarm system its the same as most cars. There is an immobilizer on the vehicle where if i remember from the manual the vehicle will shut down after a few minutes if the fob isnt in the car or it wont let the vehicle go over a certain RPM. Its in the manual though. If somebody is going to steal your car in the traditional sense the car factory alarm is fine.

1. You wont be near the car as it will be parked.

2. You will have the key fob with you

3. Somebody breaks the window tries to hop in by opening the door alarm goes off. They try to start the car it won't, if they do get by that the immobilizer kicks in.
