The panic alarm is just that, a panic alarm. The feature is there for you to use in the event you feel "threatened" and want to have a way to sound an alarm, not to stop the theft of your vehicle by disabling it. In the event of a threatening situation, you might actually want the ability to start your car and drive away. Lastly, if/when you press the panic alarm button and the alarm sounds, you can press any of the buttons on your intelligent key and the alarm will shut off. This is out of the Nissan Electronic Quick Reference Guide DVD section on the Intelligent Key features. You'd have to invest in an aftermarket anti-theft alarm system were you to want to disable the start I'd think.
