Maybe Nissan wants to follow Lexus style...390z does not mean a 3.9L 4 or 6 cylinders engine...it means aHybrid using maybe a 2.5L turbo charged engine + a electric motor...like

Maybe Nissan wants to follow Lexus style...390z does not mean a 3.9L 4 or 6 cylinders engine...it means aHybrid using maybe a 2.5L turbo charged engine + a electric motor...like Lexus LS600h,it is not a 6 L engine,but a regular 4.6V8+ electric motor.

Yeah. Inifiniti has started the same thing. Kind of annoying. I always like being able to tell the engine size by the number on the rear.

It's about time Nissan stops associating the model designation with the engine displacement. Just call it Nissan Z and call it a day. That way, people won't automatically perceive a reduction in engine displacement as a complete downgrade.

Unfortunately, I probably still would.
