This thread made go and look at my oil level and it is as it was when the oil was last changed (I always change the oil and filter on all my new cars and did so at 985 miles on the 370Z using the Nissan ester oil). I check my oil at every fill up, last thing I do after filling up and cleaning the windshield and rear window, it is not 15 minutes but a good 8-10 minutes.
As a past owner of a 2004 Vette I can say that mine did not burn any oil. Although I never reached triple digit high speeds I loved to accelerate fast out of every stop signal.
