Another thing to think about is it seems there's really no middle ground when it comes to the quality aftermarket Z parts. It's either cheap or made close to top

Another thing to think about is it seems there's really no middle ground when it comes to the quality aftermarket Z parts. It's either cheap or made close to top notch. There are a bunch of Mustang exhausts that are mild steel and mig welded. There is no exhaust comparable for the Z. You start off with high grade stainless steel with tig welded joints.
Also like said above, the aftermarket is much larger for domestics here because of the volume of domestics out and about.

I hope the mods are cheap, the car weighs half a ton more than the Z. It's gonna need 600 hp just to get out of the parking lot
like others have said, the aftermarket Z parts tend to gravitate towards higher quality/fit/finish/material trust me, you can find very expensive parts for american muscle cars |

yes, but i think he was referring to the OP talking about the dodge charger which i have to agree is a fat pig compared to the mustang or the 370 for that matter

Yes I was referring to the charger. I love the new stangs! No complaints there, but in the end I still chose the Z. Test drive both and you will feel that 400 lbs the first time you try to take a corner.

I was shocked by the price of modifications also. I purchased a 98 Jeep Wrangler last Friday and was blown away how cheap parts were for it.
The manifold on the jeep was cracked and I purchased a replacement manifold for $180 and they had it in stock at autozone! I know where my money is going now... |

Pff I think parts for my Z are cheap as hell coming from a VW R32, seems nobody wants to make reasonable parts for a car that there's only 5000 of
. So be happy you only have to pay 2x as much as mustang owners
