Do people treat you differently because of what you drive? IMO YES!

But at least two have seen me in my Z...and then I noticed a change in them. So that's kinda funny.
Totally true. This is why when i was single I always went on the first 2 dates in my orange Mazda. I loved that car, and it was cool IMO... but most women in their late 20s and early 30s didn't necessarily think so. It was a VERY effective tool at weeding out the gold-diggers and those who weren't really interested in me. If they couldn't get past the car (despite the great dates, conversation and me bringing flowers) or they asked to drive the next time it was over for me.

For those that made it to a 3rd date I'd pull up in the Z. You should see their faces when I pulled up. And then when they asked if I got a new car and I say "No, I've had this one for a while but only take it out for those that deserve it."... Seriously no better way to make a girl feel special, change her opinion of you for the better, and turn a girl on. Follow that up with dinner at my "3rd date" restaurant, then dancing at a whole-in-the-wall hip hop club most had never been to, then to my place to seal the deal. Man, those were good days.

The only exception was my wife. I knew she was the one before we even met (talked through email etc before meeting in person). For her I drove the Z on the first date and took her to the 3rd date dinner place on the 1st date. Married now with a 10 month old daughter and couldn't be happier.
