Nissan 370Z Forum

Will you be getting 6MT or 7AT?

7 speed auto. I think people are going to be surprised when some of these car mags finally get around to testing the auto. It should be just as fast

7 speed auto. I think people are going to be surprised when some of these car mags finally get around to testing the auto. It should be just as fast if not faster than the manual through the 1/4 mile and to 60mph... (This was certainly true for the VQ35HR). I'm not getting the auto because I think it's going to be faster though, I'm getting it because unfortunately I never learned to drive a stick.

Its not too hard to learn my friend.
That being said , I 'm sick of a six speed as traffic increases here.
The 7SP auto is a huge win.
This transmission is going to test very well comapared to other paddle shifters from the past and I imagine it will sway a lot of manual fanboys into the new niche of driving, and tuning.
