Nothing is more uncomfortable than pulling up next to an Audi R8.. jesus christ that car is sex... Had another one pull up across from me at a gas station a month before.. It's like I'm being haunted.

I get from stares to mid fingers. Every time I'm at a gas station or at a store, someone comes out or as they walk by, they have the "urgency" to say something. 99% of the times are nice complements. At the mall, I park so far away, not even cell phone coverage can reach my vehicle. So nobody has nothing to say out there. Sometimes as I drive around town, minding my business, there is a moron who wants to test my patience. I gladly pull over when possible and invite them to fight, by then they realize I have bigger "cojones" and decide to just keep on diving.
Talking about middle age and frustrated individuals. There has been a few in their "40ish or 50ish" years old drivers (mostly driving a minivan with 5 0r 6 kids screaming and yelling in the back seats) that give me the dirty look or the mid finger. WTF, what have I done? I smile at them and give them my mid finger, most of the times my finger is bigger than theirs. OUCH it hurts!!!!!

yea i've gotten the mid finger myself as well. I don't understand it... a pedestrian crossing the street in front of me just looked me right in the eye and gave me the birdy. envy causes strange reactions in people. What I don't get is the envy over a car... its just a car nothing special

Ironically, I got more stares from my Coupe then I do currently with my Roadster. I had the MB which stands out compared to my BC now.

Yes I have. I don't think about it no more. The very first time I thought I did something completly wrong, like not paying attention to what I was doing or how I was driving. I don't text while I drive and I use a bluetooth when talking on cell and driving. That same day as soon as I got home I looked around the vehicle to make sure my friends didn't write something offensive to others on my vehicle. (it happened once while I was driving a military vehicle and the general saw it... not a happy day for my commander)
In total, three fingers for no reason, countless because I asked for. From now on I just S M I L E.

Just got my Z on Friday, 3 days ago. My kids (12 & 16) are already refering to it as the cool car.

So I take it out for a short ereand on Sat. Get to a red light, coming at me running full code is an ambulance. It has to cross the busy intersection, against the light. As it gets near I notice the driver is looking at only one thing. Not the possible cross traffic, not the road ahead, My Z. And when I say looking at, I mean staring, head turning, staring.

I got home and told my 16 yr old daughter, "You know you are driving a cool car when ..."

I haven't seen that many 370zs in Chicago, I've seen maybe 3 or 4 so my car gets a ton of stares too. I just can't wait for spring and summer so I can drive all over lakeshore drive.

Elaborate!

That, or I'm just not noticing the stares.

I did go to Taco Bell the other day and noticed a kid (maybe 17) and his much younger brother staring and then he came over and asked, "Excuse me, what kind of car is that?"

I thought that was pretty cool, but that's really the first time in a while I've noticed anything like that - other than a bum giving me a thumbs-up as he crossed the crosswalk in front of me back in Dec.
