Oh I forgot to talk about the transmission. One of the best features of any PDK equipped Porsche. The system is just insanely amazing. Low speeds, high speeds, it's all amazing. Except it does have the occasional low speed shift clanky noises (yet you can't feel them) that my 911 doesn't have.
When upshifting, there is a cool sound that sounds similar to a large pressure change (think BOV without the whistles..). Whatever it is it sounds cool, and the shifts are lightening fast. A good transmission is a big deal in my opinion, which I'm afraid to admit the Z does not have. I hope the next gen Z implements a GOOD dual clutch system as an option. But in a roadster, I'd rather get a MT.

personally having test driven a 2013 Z i can tell you for sure both the suspension and the transmission have been redone completely, the midnight blue one i test drove went through the gears like butter and going over the same bumps in the freeway that i used to do with my 2011 was worlds different, the new european spec suspension definitely soaks up the bumps alot better than the previous model years suspension setup and also on top of that the 13 interior has become nitceably quieter compared with previous years. |

Oh I am with Chartis. I love them. They REALLY make sure the body shop you go to takes good care of you and your car. But I'm a private client with them so its a bit different than the regular policies.
