I agree that the $1K price of the cooler including install is high but you shouldn't have to worry about the dealership going under. As long as you take it to a Nissan dealer, Nissan Corporate covers the warranty not the individual dealerships.

Dunno about that when it's a case by case scenario where one specific dealer said they'll cover it by their good will and Nissan corporate said they will not. It will most likely give you the runarounds.

None of that was in response to the $780 Nissan Motorsports cooler (Plus installation). They're (Stillen) probably still laughing over that pricing. If you want to cut the tuners out of their profit to design, engineer and fabricate a commercially acceptable kit than knock your socks off. You can put together a cooler system for $200. No one yet has confirmed that there will be any Nissan warranty on the Motorsports cooler. In fact, some of the customer relations folks have said specifically that it would void a warranty....There is so much mis-information flying around on this it's not even funny...
Some of U people argue just to write somethin negative
. I'm basing rhis on stillens SETRAB cooler
That was was sold at 780. Nismo cooler is a SETRAB DESIGN.
The $425 is a sale price but if the sale goes away it will not go
To 780 again. Cuz that wuz jus the rape price.
You will see it in the low $500
By second year a good portion of these tuner parts will be 15% to 50%
Cheaper
The only way u will see prices go up again is when a higher tech replacement
Model of a part comes out. Which is very common in the tuner world.
Anyone who has tuned cars such as I understands this market trend.
The nissan part is 780 as opposed to almost the same part from stillen that
According to you is now at even a lower sales price of $425 n not $480.
I'm pretty sure the extra money u spend at Nissan is to cover warranty.
N though stillen warranties parts too.
Try makin a claim thru them n see wat they tell u. Lotta loop holes there.
N as for coolers generally running 300 to 1000 bucks. Good I guess competition still
Exists in america. But the focus here was about nismo have a warranteed
Solution. I just mentioned the price of the same product outside of nissan
Cuz tuners that do void warranty by day 3. May go to nissan to install an oil cooler
Though it won't be covered due to the mods they did.
They know they can save 300 and somwhat odd dollars.
N yes the price rape is an opinion. But based on market trends.

Well it is to my understanding that the option is covered ONLY as a dealer install
This is confirmed by a REP at Don Davis Nissan. Maybe its only the dealership n they have the option
Of covering I dunno. But misinformation is not wat I'm giving.
Just call nissan if ur not sure. I will too. I have my complaint number
From my response l received from nissan 3 months ago concerning the oil cooler
Issue n I won't own this car for another 3 months.
Have any of u done that? If u don't know for sure? Call n use the complaint
Number so they know ur gripe instantaneously n will brief u.
But as far as my dealership is concerned I know I have been quoted.
"You get it installed with us and its covered.
That kind of mod done outside of nissan will void warranty"
Those were exact words.
Not to mention I read it in 2 magazines b4 I confirmed it.

It's kind of comedic how he talks about Z's like he owns one. Oh wait, NO HE DOESN'T OWN ONE!
