There is waste or rust or something laying on the botton of the thank and can be sucked into the engine.

Shell or Chevorn is the way to go.

Well per the manual it states not to drive on low fuel because it messes up the cats.

I think that is what they mean.

From what I understand, there is no difference power-wise or octane-wise between no-name gas and top-tier gas. Gas is gas and they all have to meet the same quality standards.

HOWEVER

Top-tier gasoline will have much more (and better) detergents in it to help keep your fuel system clean and running better. That is why they cost more than the no-name brands.

WITH THAT SAID

Fifth Gear just did a test on last night's show (Wednesday nights on Velocity) that showed that Shell V-Power made around 4-5 more HP than other top-tier and no-name gasoline. Keep in mind this was Shell gas from Europe which is not the same stuff we get here. (I'm sure it's close, but it's not the same)

Shell V-Power 99% of the time...every time I use any other fuel my mileage goes down on my regular trips...Less mileage, less efficiency..sluggish performance...Here in north Tampa area Shell V-power is only a few cents more if not par with other fuels.
