I read the poll question and voted, then I read your base model portion. I am not eligible to vote in poll. I already have a fully loaded model and went to buy a Nismo after GTR only had an auto. I was unimpressed with Nismo ride quality and lack of much improvement. I love the creature comfort as old age sets in with the touring. The sports package was the best deal of all the options.

Agreed.
Both cars have the same achilles heel....truly epic fail brakes for a "sport" car. I wasn't willing to pay up for the marginal performance gains knowing I could do a lot better in the aftermarket. The ricer rear spoiler is a wicked huge turn off too. To each their own though, right? |

I voted "No" because i ordered exactly what i wanted base + sport, couldn't be happier. If you do have a Nismo 370Z enjoy her, she was built to please.

These brakes are great and stop HARD. Their only weakness is the stated above.

The brakes DO work well...my complaint with them is that it doesn't take long under spirited driving for them to overheat and for fade to set in. You shouldn't be FORCED to upgrade the rotors, pads, lines and fluids to get high peformance braking from a car touted as having high peformance capability. /ontopic Still not interested in the added expense of the Nismo for the marginal gains in performance and (to my eyes anyway) silly ricer looks. |

All you have to upgrade is pads (less than 200 bucks, need to be replaced over time regardless) and fluid (20-30 bucks per bottle), and then all but extreme track driving should be covered. I understand that's a headache, but it's not insurmountable. |

at first when I was new to 370, I pretty much like Nismo then I did some researches, and it shows that it does not worth money to get just that upgrades + I addicted to Amuse bodykit, it is way more better, so I m not regret to what I did

I spent a few k on my sport and now I'd put it up against any NISMO. Luckily I have an awesome Z only tuner shop nearby. (Zcargarage in San Jose California).
If you have ease of upgrade like that, I would definitely recommend planning your own custom upgrades. If not (or if your not really interested in mechanical stuff) maybe a nismo is better balance of expense performance and attain ability.
