After a quick drive and trying to focus on the shifter, I thought at first I may have damaged the shift knob where the leather meets the metal (unsure what it is) and that was causing it. Not it, the sound seems to be coming from inside the shift knob as if the shifter is hitting the walls of the shift knob at a very quick pace back and forth.
