Anyone who makes a creditable entry into the RWD 300+HP coupe market deserves a fair chance and everyone's good wishes to compete with the rest. Looks and badging are one

Anyone who makes a creditable entry into the RWD 300+HP coupe market deserves a fair chance and everyone's good wishes to compete with the rest. Looks and badging are one thing, rubber to the pavement performance is another.

Doesn't mean you have to buy it, but it deserves credit where credit is due. Everyone starts somewhere with a dream for where they want to get to. Some make it, some don't, let the games begin

^^^ +1. Competition and innovation are always healthy. I like heritage though as well so not interested.

Well from that ad right there even if we don't see the Genesis as competition it is clear that Hyundai see's the Z as competition aswell as the BMW 335i

Looks pretty good from this angle. You can still see the head of the penis car.

At least you know one thing. It's a damn safe car. The passenger compartment didn't collapse.

First Hyundai Genesis Coupe Crash - Looks Like the Airbags Failed to Deploy - Carscoop

Quote:
Hyundai had the unfortunate chance to see how its brand new rear-wheel-drive Genesis Coupe performs in a real-world crash when a 2.0 Turbo slammed into the concrete surrounding of a metal pole somewhere in Korea. Despite the severity of the crash and as you can see in the photos that have been circulating around the Korean blogosphere the past few days, it appears that in this particular car, both the driver and front passenger airbags failed to deploy.
I think this would've been a good time for airbags to deploy.... what you guys think?

Brake pedal is not bent or distorted. Right wrist and forearm, probably( I hope so)broke. Wouldn't own one if you gave it too me!

Didn't even noticed that. But it is a offset crash and needs to be head on center with the bumper to have the airbags off. This was a head on on the driver side portion of the car (which I still think they should have went off), but I have seen many cars not go off due to this type of accident.

I am still impressed with the compartment though didn't collapse hardly at all due to the force of the impact that happened.

I had an offset crash in my 350 and both airbags deployed.

It does not need to be a "head on center with the bumper" to activate the air bag(s).
