How many of you have pulled the steering lock fuse?

Honestly, it is more that just a tap. I "tapped" mine for 10 minutes and then got angry and beat it like an ugly stepchild and it went ahead and unlocked for me. So, perhaps, try a more "abrasive" method? haha.

At least one person has reported successfully getting the SLU locking pin to retract by removing the SLU (I haven't done it, but the security bolts are supposed to be rather loose, so it's a pretty easy job) and pushing the pin in manually. Worth a try.
