The relay is pretty simple. Basically when the relay has no power it is in a position to supply ground to the DEI 507 activating it. When the relay has ACC 12V+ is switches and breaks the ground to the DEI 507 deactivating it. Once I understood how the relay worked it was a piece of cake. I got the relay at Radio Shack for about $10 I tested the operation of the relay using the current from the cig lighter outlet. If I had to do it again it would take me less than an hour.
