Got a call from the dealer today about doing my SWL swap out. He said, "Oh just drop it off here and pick it up either that evening or the next day". I laughed out loud and told him, dude, no way am I leaving my car there for your guys to joyride in! He sounded hurt and said, "that has never happened here before" and I replied "Yeah, and I'm not going to be the first either". Of course he offered to do it during the week, saying "You know, it may take 4 hours or more to do the job" I said what!? it's only two screws and unplugging a wire harness! Well, then maybe only two hours.
Sir, you sound like you know a lot more about the car than ordinary customers, I said well you know I like mechanical things and I am an engineer!
I didn't mention the forum, even though that's where I learned all of this.

Too funny. He was being nice though, but I'm no way going to leave my car there unattended.
While I'm there I might go fishing about how much they charge to update the Navi data.

i hate taking my cars to the dealers too. chances are they will scratch the car, touch things they're not suppose to (like HU and stuff). it's just a pita.

for me, got rest of my swaybar package today and will be doing the install this weekend along with oil change.

Found bleach spots in my hatch mat. After cleaning the windows, a bird pooped on them.

Now I don't feel so bad! Just hit 20k yesterday in a year and 2 months. Gotta say i love driving it just as much now (maybe even more!) then the day I drove it off the lot!

Now that's what I'm talking about. True enthusiast.

This evening I washed and waxed just in time for the big storm tomorrow. Can't wait! At least it isn't yellow anymore.

Yesterday we drover nearly 9 hours on the newly installed Boosted Perfomance twin scroll turbo kit to get a tune. I was the first person other than Boosted Performance to install one of their kits. I'm very happy with things considering I installed the turbo last Saturday and drove to PA on Wednesday without an issue (first real drive after install).

Today we drove to R/T Tuning and made some good numbers. Check my build thread for details.

"I hope it's you"
haha good one. weird thing happened after I read this. i got stalked too lol

been without my Z for a day since I took my mom to LAX. so as soon as i got it I took a two lane road through the back woods home. i pass some soccer mom and just fly by her but hit major traffic so she catches up 5 min later and then gets on her phone and is taking pics of my car and licence plate and attempts to follow me home. psycho lady

I think honestly mileage is just a number. My dad has his 2006 350 that was a dd and it has 198000 on it. Still performs like the day it left the dealership. As long as you take care of it, it will run. That proves they are built to last.

Very true, but there's still something about me that doesn't want to rack up a ton of miles so quickly.

Gotta love soccer stalkers. Happened to me a month ago in my (former) Acura. This woman was coming up the road real slow and I waited before I backed out of my drive to let her pass but then she began stopping at a yield sign IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD and no traffic anywhere to be seen. I'm not honking at 5am so I just went to her left and made my turn leaving her at the intersection. Not more than a second after she was flying to catch up to me. She almost hit me at a stop sign because I think she thought I was such a lawbreaker that I would run the stop sign. I was laughing and thought, this vehicle makes complete stops at real stops signs. So i continue on and she winds up running the stop sign i was just at, tails me, runs the stoplight at the next intersection to stay with me, and then at the following light she gets in the turn-only lane next to me and honks trying to get me attention. I look at her, roll my window down just a crack and said, "no thanks lady" and rolled my window up (im not very witty so thats all i had to say...i hear her yelling about how she knows where i live and she's calling the cops. I was like, ok... do it. But then the light turns green, i go and she makes an illegal merge into forward moving traffic from a turn only lane.

I broke absolutely no laws going around her at a yield sign in a neighborhood. But she thought it was ok to break 4 separate traffic laws to threaten me. I lolled all the way to the office.
