#1. Not everyone... I drove my 1988 Pathfinder into the ground (died at 230K miles), donated my 1994 Explorer (150K miles), and gave my 1999 CR-V to a cousin (210K miles).

#2. Let's wait and see, shall we... I'm not going to adjust my driving habits now based on some unknown future variable
