Damn, it was only $120 total (or right around that) for mine. Granted, I ran a yellow light, but the officer said, "I had to wait at my green light for you to go through and I heard you downshift." Which was total BS, but whatever. I have until August until I can get caught again.

Here are the new RE760's that I bought yesterday

http://i638.photobucket.com/albums/u...psa472400b.jpg

Alignment was way off and the bushings make a big difference too, the car literally drives better than it ever has in 7 years of ownership

GaleForce 03-23-2013 09:54 PM

A simple video of my first drive after installing the Boosted Performance turbo kit. Don't get too excited, just a couple of slow drive-by runs, making sure everything is A-OK.

That was right off the turbo :icon14: A couple neighbours did give me the stink eye when I circled the block :rofl2: Since then I modified my Berk exhaust to work with it, and removed the resonators in the process (new video to follow).

Did your lip clip the driveway at the end?

Nope. I worry about it but Mrs. Force said the lip clears, the air deflectors hit.

4 hours of wash, clay/polish and wax done! In shape, shining and ready for proper driving season use! That being said I hate the paint on this car :) You breath on it and leaves a mark lol!

b15 03-24-2013 01:03 PM

^looking good. I'm waiting for the weather to warm up a bit so I can do the same. I have the same feelings towards Nissan paint. This is my 3rd one and it's slightly better than the other two, but for a vehicle that carried a $44k price tag new....it should be better.

Nailzs 03-24-2013 01:29 PM

Fixed 2 tiny spots on the front of my Z with Dr. Colorchip today. Great stuff!

Thanks B15. I agree the paint is the weak point. Compromise for the price I guess?? Either way its not the end of the world and in general, black needs a bit more care to be in good shape! Good luck with yours!

Cool. I had no idea the stock rays looked good rolling.
What happened to your M560's?

Raf

roy'sz 03-24-2013 04:47 PM

Installed the M370 today and added another engine code on the wall of shame. So frustrated right now!!! but aside from that it was a good learning experience

I put the stock wheels on last fall before I went for the clutch install. I just got around to mounting the nice wheels last week. Cleaned them all up and opti-coated them for easier cleaning.

Today was my car's first birthday! So to celebrate, I changed her oil for the first (and probably last) time myself.

Picked her up with 7 miles on it, changed the oil @ 1677 miles.

Just ordered wheel spacers.

Not sure if I should go HFCs and CBE, 2DIN/Sound, or hang onto my money next? :icon14:

Pintsize725 03-25-2013 09:58 AM

Didn't someone in this thread buy the Evo-R mirrors? I'm interested to know how they held up.

This weekend, I received a Mishimoto Aluminum Power Steering Reservoir as one of my groomsman presents from a great friend
( Click to show/hide )
http://www.the370z.com/members/jarbl...g-contents.jpg

Unfortunately, my cursory research tells me that the provided bracket likely won't work with my R2C intakes :( And being that it's my DD, it may take awhile before I can have a new bracket fabricated and actually have it installed. Oh well, that's just more time for me to be :excited: about installing it :icon17:

Also, I received another shipment of car care products :yum:
( Click to show/hide )
Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax (w/ microfiber cloth)
Meguiar's Clay Kit (2 clay bars, detailing spray, and microfiber cloth)
Meguiar's Ultimate Polish
Meguiar's Compound and Waxing pads (to go with my Polishing pads)
Meguiar's 3" hand pad
Meguiar's Supreme Shine microfiber towels (after washing my wife's Acura, I have decided these towels are inferior to any of the other microfiber towels I have and I will not be purchasing any more - maybe good utility towels for interior and plastic trim)

Truthfully, the reason I said that was because it was such a pain to get the drain plug and filter off. I eventually got the drain plug out, but couldn't get the filter off. I'll take it to my mechanic to change out the filter. Hopefully when he changes it, he won't tighten it so much and make it easier for me the next time around.

MarkGideon 03-25-2013 09:20 PM

First oil change from the factory on any new car I have had has been a bit tough. Some I have had to drive a screwdriver through the filter to be able to twist it off. After the first, the rest are relatively easy.

Strap wrench FTMFW!! They have ones specifically for oil filters, too, though I just use one with a simple rubber strap. You shouldn't pay more than $10-15 for a decent one

Driven 21k miles
Been in 1 accident(all fixed, no mechanical damage and wasn't at fault thankfully)
No speeding tickets!

The day before I had my car a year I was almost at 25. Then someone lost a pole on the fwy and I came into contact with it at 75mph. I had nowhere to go. Pics are in my album....it was a sad sad day. Especially since I had just spent the money for my co-pay on a credit card payment lol. But all is well with the beast!

Yeah, I have a rubber strap wrench. I was planning on using it for my shift knob, as well as oil filter (as I've read on here that it works well for both). The rubber strap wrench I got can't grip it too well and slides right off.

Anyway, on topic. I Dr. Colorchipped a few spots here and there on my car. Might need to add a few extra coats on top as it's not as I expected..

CDepp 03-26-2013 06:26 PM

Drove my Z past a black GT-R going the opposite way today, way down in Monroe.

/I wonder if he's posting that he drove his GT-R past a black 370Z today...{I want to believe}

Not to get into VDC but today my car fish tail however I believe that correcting the car took 75%VDC and 25% skills....

Want to save money and get a mad sick sound!!! Go with AAM short tails, They look great with the burnt titanium tips, sounds better than most CBE and they are only a little over $300

Still puts a smile on my face after all these years!
