My buddies put my spacers on for me last night, as they're quite a bit more mechanically inclined and have the proper tools.

Excuse the dustiness, she's getting a bath soon. I've just been far too busy lately.

Repost

This is a repost of my own:

I drove down to Laguna Seca on Friday afternoon. The weather was beautiful. The weather forecast was 20% chance of showers by 3 PM race day. My tires work in the rain vs the slick race tires of others. At 7:30 Saturday morning it was now a 10% chance by 5 PM. Rain all day Easter Sunday.

At 8 AM I was at the track and wondering where it had gone. The fog was so thick I could only see perhaps 20-30 feet. Then it started to rain. Some forecast.

Rain we can deal with fog not so much. When one flagger can not see the next they close the track with a black flag.

The fog would roll in thick then pull back, where the track was reopened. Then when the fog came back, close it up again.

Here is my first bit of the day. it does get better. More to come.

I know. :(

My buddy yelled at me, "STOP LOOKING." when I mentioned the chips. :icon17:

I guess it's just something I have to live with if I'm going to drive it every day.

Yea, one of my employees just ran into my office and told me my car was in the middle of the road, and finished with "and it's not an April Fools prank." I ran outside, and sure as ****, there it is....with two guys standing there looking at it. The office's driveway has a tiny slant, so it didn't go far. Still scared the **** outta me. I'll be adjusting the parking brake later...and leaving it in gear no matter where I am. :icon14:

I have had that happen in my previous car - e-brake is up, but either not enough or something and it rolled back, into my garage door.

Never did it again, but jesus I was paranoid from that point on.

JARblue 04-01-2013 01:06 PM

That would be the reason I always leave a MT in gear with the e-brake engaged no matter where I'm parked.

Here's a link for the e-brake adjustment if you don't already have it bookmarked

Yea, I saw this thread a while ago, and was actually going to do it...just never did. This solidifies it, though. Nothing was damaged, so I can laugh about it.

Best outcome you could have possibly hoped for when something like that happens. Glad to hear it

I woke up to a rain soaked car, good thing for me that I didn't wash her!

So I went to pick up my undone lip from the wrap place this morning. The owner is already dodging my calls and texts so I was worried he would try to keep the lip since I tried to open a claim against him for previous work. My paint isn't cured yet so I can't do what I want anyway. This wrap job looks like ****. I'll post pics later but now I'm on the fence as to which way to go for it.

Also, received my Nissan fan pack this afternoon.

I washed the pollen off the Z and applied some Meguiar's Quik Wax spray. It was super easy, and gives a nice shine I don't usually get with a normal wash. It took less than 10 minutes to apply, which means it will likely become part of my standard routine when I'm not doing a full wash, clay, and wax

I also had my first experience with Adam's Metal Polish 1 and 2, with which I am quite pleased. This stuff definitely works better than any metal polishing products I tried previously. In fact, they never worked, which is probably the reason my exhaust tips got as dirty as they did.

2nd wash in 4 days. The good news is I think the last rain storm washed away all of the salt that the state of MD sees fit to cake onto the roadways. Hopefully dual halos go in this weekend.

That is the parking lot at work and I'm trying to get it in as far as possible so someone with a work truck doesn't take the front end off.

I did the same yesterday. I used Turtle Wax chrome polish though. It cut through the soot like butter. Looks much better.

My wife was not amused with my new center piece for the dining room table....I don't know why

http://i720.photobucket.com/albums/w...psd66e7040.jpg

I just had to bring it upstairs, I was test fitting the INGS+1 lip also used hair dryer to get front hambuger off, so much easier to do all of this with the bumper off :)

Using babies blanket for protection...only the best lol

Haboob 04-02-2013 12:32 PM

I think it looks great, TBH.

Looks like a dining room that belongs at the Ritz.

b15 04-02-2013 12:51 PM

Ordered the lighter clutch assist spring and installed LEDs in the parking & license plate lights. Also took out the OEM clutch assist spring just to see the difference and I'm very pleased. The new spring should feel very similar but eliminate the play so I'll be a happy camper.

dmhenderson 04-02-2013 01:30 PM

I had my nismo exhaust and stinky stock cats in the living room for a bit. It didn't go over well.

Thats great. I should do that to my wife. I've been spending quite some time in the garage installing a few little things i got and she's always peeking her head out there asking what I'm doing now haha

Mt Tam I am 04-02-2013 02:53 PM

I am still in track mode when I drive. I came around a turn this morning like it was nothing, when I ought to be a little less spirited.
