The car has had a busy week in the media coming off the latest 1st place Best Nissan 370z win at Importfest Mega Meet.

jlo370z 09-13-2013 07:11 PM

Took her to a chrysler dealer, just to rub her good looks in ;)

ACKD 09-13-2013 10:09 PM

Car has been sitting idle in the garage for a week as a badly sprained my ankle. It is hard watching the car just sitting there but I hope to take it and my ankle for a spin tomorrow.

madwi 09-13-2013 11:04 PM

I reserved all day tomorrow for a hand wash, Finish polish and a coat of 4star sealant. I hope it brings out some of the metal flake!

kenchan 09-13-2013 11:08 PM

pressured up tires to match ambient temp. :)

Pintsize725 09-13-2013 11:12 PM

Omg. 40 degrees here.
Harry needs shined up after his bath yesterday. Not sure if i'm willing to brave the cold just yet....

Riptide67 09-14-2013 01:18 PM

Day three of mine sitting at the dealership waiting for them to figure out why it has an intermittent failure for the push button on/off. 7 or 8 parts tie in, they have successfully started the car every time with the exception of the first time(took 30 pushes). Hooked it up to the computer and the car starts every time. I asked them to try again Monday. After that, I am just gonna assume my Z is like some fancy lady I have to finesse to get what I want.

On a side note... I've got MD ART pipes, Stillen UD pulley w/belt, and SPC rear camber arms w/toe bolts on the way. Excited to have them installed on the 28th.

Next step is to have it UpRev tuned :)

Shadezz 09-14-2013 01:59 PM

Some updates!! Test fit the new gun metal powder coating on Surfdogs wheels!! They look like brand new and color is unique...I'm calling it the track pack color!! He wanted something darker then stock but not black...really close to the sports oem caliper color.

Nissan RAYS (Track Pack Grey) 1 offs powder coated.

It's starting to really grow on me Surfdog...might even wanna see what that color mounted on my MB would look like.

dAvenue 09-14-2013 02:17 PM

Installed the Megan Racing rear lower tie bar today.

Tigger 09-14-2013 02:22 PM

Washed, clayed, re-washed. Now for wax. Who wants to do it? I pay! lol

Would have done springs today but no spring compressor. :(

Cleaned her exhaust.

Took her to get the rears rebalanced. Had a nail in 3 tires. O.o

We then went to a classic car show.

Paste carnauba wax. Easy on, easy off.

Yeah the Americana wax or whatever it's called from Detailer's Domain is expensive as hell but pretty awesome. Also use that 3M polyseal stuff after you glaze. Won't take you more than a couple hours.

Supercharger is loving the cooler weather. Really loving the "jet engine" noise it makes in second when I stomp on the gas. Cruising around town some guy in an old volkswagen honked at me and pointed at a reddit decal on his car. Guess he recognized it from the build thread. Either that or he used the wrong finger to flip me off.

No reason to be afraid. Plenty of capable shops that do a great job such as Daedalus Customs and 180 Custom to name a few. :)

kenchan 09-16-2013 08:52 PM

ordered another gallon of SpeedShine.

forza370z 09-16-2013 09:00 PM

Cars and copters, thats an interesting concept...leaves cars and coffee in the dust lol

I did my 48K service, which includes the brake service, the most expensive one, so that was a fun bill of $690 + tax

What parts did they need to replace for the bill to get that high?

Well besides usual differential oil, air filter (although I have CAI) Oil change, where you see it rise is the brake service, its the full inspection, cleaning and for the life of me I forget...I left the papers at home...but there was something else they do only to the Z which added a good $200 something

MadMan 09-17-2013 09:09 AM

1st Oil change @ 7500mi.
It's the little milestones.
But new oil to go to Nationals.

CROP dust that is... :p

SurfDog 09-17-2013 12:30 PM

I've gathered up my RBF 600, two sets of ss brake lines, some 15 and 20mm spacers and am pulling of my rims to be re-powdercoated. (I'm not loving how they came out the other day... its a weird color)

forum member Shadezz and I are going to pour some love on our brakes and wheels this week!

I'm hoping my hawk ceramics from Z1 motorsports get here in time for the fun!
