Driving on the Capital City freeway tonight when a guy in a Mustang GT pulled alongside and delivered a honk and thumbs up. Odd behavior indeed

I just got word that my wheels and PSS's are on their way, they should show up by the end of next week. Also my FMIC and fuel pump are on the way, they should arrive Tuesday. Lastly, my Defi gauges showed up today, but they are a birthday present that I won't receive until later this month.
It's been a great day  |

missing my Z. I'm on another week long away trip with the Zed sitting under a cover at the parking lot. :(
Good news though I'm back tomorrow... |

Let a friend who owns a Mazda Speed 3 drive my car on a mountain twisty today. Said to me after the drive, "I'm gonna save up some cash and get me one of these"!

I had a scary moment, was driving casually and came to a stop at a red light. As soon as I let go of brake and accelerate and heard and felt an intense and ear piercingly loud grinding/screeching noise from front wheel area specifically the brakes. The sound came at any time the car was in motion with or without brake pressure.
Pulled over for half an hour searching everywhere, couldn't find anything wrong. Decided to drive the car down the road wiggling it left and right and accelerating to see if something was stuck and to get it out. Eventually the noise went away very randomly. The only thing I can think of is a rock or something got lodged in the brake pad/rotor area and was grinding and screeching. Idk but it really scared me being the car is brand new as literally 1,000miles. I thought the wheel or something was coming loose or something. Anyways quick question, does this look like normal rotor wear for a new car with 1,000 miles?? I'm not an expert on brakes. Thanks http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8326/8...a4b9c0_b_d.jpg |
What I did today? I drove it. :D
