Because my car ran a LOT hotter with M1

today i pushed my car a little on the highway and i was up around 240F, so yes it run hotter but temps are very consistent compared to the ester oil and it cools faster than ester does, all i did was drive with the flow of traffic and it cooled back down to 220, with the ester, i would have to take it really easy to get the oil to cool back down

in all reality though, the 370z really needs an oil cooler to keep it around 190F

Nice trip. Looks like you live 2 miles or so from me. I'm in the McKinley Park area. So you're either in Arden-Arcade or Rosemont?

Relocated my APR mirrors on the door.

So what did I do with my Z today? Well, I gave it a quick spritz of water and a wipedown when I got home from work yesterday. If you keep it clean enough you don't need soap and water every time. Just spray off the dust and wipe it down with a soft clean towel. Today I cleaned the windows inside and out and cleaned the driver's side door where my foot scrapes it getting in and out. Vacuumed the whole thing including the trunk. I'd brought home some flowers from the nursery the other day and there was some mulch and dirt on the carpet. Then I put it up in the garage.

Sat around this morning watching the Open golf tournament on TV. Now I'm a little restless and thinking about taking a drive just for the heck of it in my sparkling clean car. So with that, I'm going out for a while. Bye :0)

We just returned from our Lake Tahoe drive. I am an idiot. Duh-- it's summer. Duh, there are a jillion people doing the same thing and there is no parking anywhere...

Oh well -- we were against traffic the whole time and got a nice drive in -- just no photos. 248 break-in miles added...

The Z only gets driven 2 days a week, yet somehow I still manage to put a ton of miles on her. About to hit 20k soon :(

On the flip side, I just can't resist taking the long way :D

Went to Cars & Coffee this morning.

Paid off my car about 2 weeks ago and today I got the Title from DMV. No more payments!

Ran practice slaloms about 10 x ...felt like clutch spring gave out (?)
Had to push practically all the way to the floor to make it work. Used my toe to physically "pop" the pedal up to normal location ....

Let the car sit and cool off-checked the fluids-remainder of day it was ok.

Wha?!?!
