I heard a weird vibration the other day while my A/C was on and realized that the belt was cracked. Took it in to a friend had it replaced and had a oil change performed as well.

All is good now

Washed, Polished, and Waxed. My car is on AXE.
Ordered a vanity plate 8 to 12 weeks
my original one failed. CARGTBLZ was a no go. I explained it was car got blues but they didnt buy it. So I got this instead.

WELL ZED

JungleZ 09-23-2012 01:03 AM

I know a few guys with the RE-11 -- it is a great tire, but not as good at the Pilot Super Sport if you are street driving.

:iagree:

PSS or you can opt for the less-expensive Continental DWs(all season high performance)

WELL ZED

That is much more elegant and comprehensible. I just put USMC vet plates on mine and call it good.

How is the noise issue with Contenentals on? I live between California and colorado. Both have crap roads.

Duncanz 09-23-2012 05:10 PM

Z1 Motorsports rotors and stop tech pads

My original rotors weren't bedded in right so they had some vibration and crazy bite. Swapped in the Z1 Motorsport rotors and Stop Tech pads. Wish I hadn't waited so long.

sheps58 09-23-2012 08:29 PM

200 mile drive windy roads

I drove my Z into the North West corner of Connecticut and into New York. Salisbury Ct and Millerton NY. On my travels I saw 1 GT-R, 1 Lamborghini , 2 air cooled Porsches from the 80's and one current yellow 911 coupe.

I've considers a fog light and wheel myself. Where Sid you get your light and what kind of wheel are you going with?

370zmarc 09-24-2012 11:38 AM

I bought the fog light at my dealership and wired it myself. I really like the carbon fiber element steering wheels.

SPOHN 09-24-2012 11:56 AM

Trying to fix small fuel leak. No luck. Have one idea that should work. This has nothing to do with the fuel starvation fix I installed. In case some were wondering. I can't get the O ring to seal on the stock pump side after tightening down.

Mt Tam I am 09-24-2012 12:12 PM

The fog is like rain this AM and now I am glad I did not wash it this weekend.

Just bought gas and averaged 11.8 MPG so I must have been having fun lately. :icon17:

Lots of fun until seeing the pump..... :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

Joepro 09-24-2012 06:52 PM

Installed SPC rear camber arms and aligned the car! Did not need the toe bolts, was happy about that, needed them for the 350, but glad I didnt have to break out the dremmel.

NissanGuy23 09-24-2012 07:07 PM

I got an oil change...noticed they put 10w-30 in it...anything i should be worried about? Seems weird since were entering winter months..

Joepro 09-24-2012 07:18 PM

I ran 10w-30 in the 350z..didnt burn nearly as much oil. Might let the engine warm up a minute or 2 before driving(good practice anyway).

Time to save some money, hassles, and time and start doing it yourself.

I find its cheaper and way faster to just get a small oil change setup and do the changes myself. The wife thinks I'm crazy of course (until I do hers for her as well), but I put in better oil and use filter magnets and stuff. The big thing is that by the time I could get down to jiffy lube or the dealer, I can have done my own about 3 times. (I buy oil in bulk when it goes on sale to save additional money and time).

Just an idea ;)

That royal purple stuff and K/N filters seem to review well around here.

SurfDog 09-24-2012 07:56 PM

I used WAZE app for iPhone on my commute home. If you don't know what that is, do yourself a favor and try it. Best driving app ever.

I would bet that 90% of you will be super happy if you give it a try.

I actually cluttered up my dash with a phone mount JUST for this app. (Typically I don't like junk in my field of view...)

Something like 10,000 reviews in the App Store and it gets an average of 5 stars. That is amazingly high.

Just sayin'. ;)

That sounds like a good idea, i was thinking id start changing it myself also. I feel like i can't trust anyone with the Z

GaleForce 09-24-2012 09:04 PM

I pulled the Z out of the garage to enjoy some responsible VDC off driving in the cooler weather.

Oh, and I filled up the tank. Good thing I had a quarter of a tank left before I filled up

KSFastah 09-24-2012 09:44 PM

Parked the car in the garage. Then spent the evening at an awards ceremony for my daughter by clandestinely shopping on my smartphone for a TT solution for the car.
