Finished up my black chrome mesh for my front bumper. I am very pleased with the installation, as I didn't have to use any screws or clips, and it has an OEM fitment. The finish is incredibly subtle, as I expected, but I am interested to see how it appears in the full daylight. None of the pictures really show it truly, but there's a couple of close ups that are ok.

I put in some work yesterday on my Z and I'm sore today because of it
-Removed my CF NISMO B-pillars and sanded them down/recleared them. Look alot better but I need to resand it again since I had a few areas where the clear was too thick :( -Removed my front bumper, and finally cleaned my NISMO CAI filter. It was long overdue so I cleaned it with Simple Green and water and let it dry naturally. Much cleaner after! -Washed my car to finish her off I practially spent the entire day in my garage :icon17: |
Changed the transmission, diff, and clutch fluids. All ready for the summer cruising season. Car was just shy of 18k. The diff and clutch fluid was dark. The trans fluid still looked decent but I figured I'd seize the opportunity since the car was in the air. Could be in my head but trans feels smoother now.

Drove home through a minor dust storm, then it decided to sprinkle rain down to make sure the dust stuck. :ugh2:
Then I had to run by my parents house and a Prius pulled out in front of me and did about 9mph in a 35mph zone, coming up on my turn I tried to pass and the asshat decided he wanted to try to keep up with me and make me miss my turn (I didn't, but it was close). :shakes head: |

I am working on a plan of attack for this weekend. Received my Berk CBE and HFC setup this past Saturday and ordered everything (Redline 5w30 and Pure One filter) for my first oil change. The 1200 mile mark is coming up in perfect time to do the exhaust install and oil change all in one day. I also ordered the Z-Speed aluminum splash shield which should be in by the weekend as well.
Going to be a busy Saturday for Zora! |
