Off topic a bit --- Yes that's it. One of the best drives yet also the most dangerous roads in America.

Back on topic --- I detailed her a little bit about 30 minutes ago. Zymol'd her body, cleaned her wheels, and applied a good coat of tire dressing. This weekend, just like Waizzz, I'll be taking her bumper off to wash her filters. While it's off, I'll be installing a pair of DIY skid plates on her front lip.

Sorry for the scaled down phone pics. Tons had been done lately.

Installed my corner box, & contemplated katzkins for it, I like the cloth, but there aren't too many leather nismo's :)

Had to come in early to work today, which meant very little traffic on the freeways. for smooth sailin'.

Just got the steering Lock Replaced...

Amazing that they did a great Job and did not break anything.

I told them not to wash it because I hand washed it yesterday, and they did what I said.

Then they did Not try to sell me anything ...

A good Dealer experience...

I got the new tires put on tonight. What-a-NIGHTMARE! I drove to the usual shop and got there as quickly as I could off work, 5:03pm and they closed at 5! It used to be 6pm. Then drove further away from my place to Tire Kingdom where they were 3 hours out from getting to me. So then I pass by my place the opposite way and hit Pepboys which is 1.5 hours until they get to me. So then I try Firestone, they closed an hour early due to a phone conference. Right next door was Tires Plus, they got me in and out in 30min! I must have wasted $30 in gas driving my Titan around with the wheels and tires in the back.

So then I treated myself to a little something special

It was funny watching like 4 guys stand around and admire my new tires. They were almost freaking out because these tires definitely have a certain presence to them. They scream performance. The installer just had a red civic hatch with gold wheels, actually done up well. Very clean.

Put more powerful LEDs in my front parking lights, and added LED's to my inside dome lights. Looks pretty cool much brighter.

Got in the car this morning and my clutch felt "disconnected" and wouldn't flip back up after depressed unless I poked it with my toe. Checked the clutch fluid and lo and behold, it was dry (7100 miles on the car).

Called for a tow at 8am for 5pm. 8pm rolls around and no tow truck. Cancelled tow and got another company. Car is finally on its way at 9pm. I have 2 hrs worth of prep work to do for my workshop tomorrow which I didn't get done because i kept sitting outside waiting for an imaginary tow truck.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

I knew when I saw your picture the other day, you had slicks on the back with core showing...Man you got EVERY mile out of those tires...Well Done.

And yes those tires scream sticky performance..

Birdbrain 04-09-2013 08:42 PM

ordered new Michelin AS + tires. Nothing wrong with the old, only 8,000KM's, but being an old fart I'd like a bit more comfortable ride. Hope they do the job!

nmjaxx9 04-09-2013 09:43 PM

Washed and waxed. :D

Sorry to hear this. At least it is covered under warranty. Mine gave in at around 12k. Too new for this to happen to us.
