Default Service Me Soon

The Z developed a rattle in the exhaust a week ago and I figured it was a loose heat shield- until yesterday when the service engine soon light came on. I took it in today for service and as suspected the O2 sensor had come loose to the point it was rattling and sucking air in. I had TPs installed a couple weeks back at a speed shop and apparently they didn't tighten the O2s down enough. The dealer was nice enough to not charge me for the non warranty "repair" and cleared the code for me. CEL code was P2A00 according to the invoice.

While I was waiting I stopped by the part's counter and asked if I could buy a Nissan branded bathroom sign. He looked at me like I was crazy (which I am, granted) so I pointed out his restroom sign. He just shook his head...
Nismo drivers I swear!

On another unrelated note I visited the attached Infinity dealer and scoped out the new M56X with the aero kit. After having driven the QX56 for business many times I can tell that car must be a ton of fun.

Scorpion, what did you use for the pinstripe?

I personally would remove all of the hood/roof/hatch ones and just leave one going alongside the sides of the car but that's my style..

I'm tossing around the idea of a very faint stripe along the sides for my Z

went back and added three switches to replace my dummy switches. left one turns on the heads up display, second one gives me the option to turn the leds off (they are only powered up when the parking lights/headlights are on), and 3rd switch isnt being used... yet. I also cleaned up the wiring underneath the switches.

Drove my mother-in-law to work this morning...... she was hearing a really loud banging noise and was looking around like "what is that?"

I'm sitting there going...

::MAYDAY MAYDAY I'm under attack I'm under attack! Yellow neon with massive Fart Cannon just broadsided me I'm going down! MAYDAY MAYDAY::

The look on her face...

Dropped her off for vinyl repair and tint. Contacted the body shop were I had her repainted less than a month ago and sent them the picture below.

Road noise was my goal, too. Texas is a big place and it takes a while to get somewhere. It'll be nice to have the car somewhat quiet while cruising 80 mph with the wife, which means I can't have the windows down.
Lots of info on this, but I can confirm that PSS tires dramatically reduced road noise. I'm on PSS a/s plus and love the sound.

My Nitto Invos are significantly quieter than stock. Asymmetrical tread pattern helps, too

I've been getting a CEL more often now from the test pipes so I stopped being lazy and picked up some RTV and took them off and threw some RTV on there and reinstalled them. Haven't started the car yet. Waiting for it to cure a bit more.
