I run StopTech rotors (with Hawk HPS) -- they work quite well.

Once again I got stuck behind a Tesla. I'd love to see one pull over or show me what it can do.

i fuel starved tonight. second time. i didn't fill up with gas and wasn't thinking straight. forgot i was at 1/4 tank and took the on ramp too fast.

luckily this time it started up and puttered along for a second and then on the second start up i was able to take off and fill up

I retrofitted the 2012 water-to-oil cooler to my 2009, using the heat exchanger portion (the part that goes between the oil filter and block), and put it on its own cooling system. It has a surface mount thermostat on the upper oil pan, an electric pump to move the coolant, and a cooler/fan assembly.

I tested it out and all seems to be working as expected. It was a good day with outside temps at 90. Without the cooler the oil temp would easily go over 220 at 4,000 rpm for a short time. With the cooler the temp held a bit over 200. I can't wait to get her back on the road and see how it performs.

Glad to hear no major issue with the fuel starve, and you got running again.

Good feedback guys. I have been on it. Looked at three places to find the right grommets but have been unsuccessful so far. Keeping my eyes open for the right ones. So far the ones I see will raise the plug and will not be flushed making it look a lot less cleaner. I like the flushed look of the plug.

TreeSemdyZee 09-10-2013 10:57 PM

Didn't even notice the pic with the plug. It does look pretty clean.

Ms Cherry, is your clutch system still holding up after the fluid change?

Had to drive up to Tenn. yesterday. It's about 25 miles away. Good day for a cruise & I'm in no hurry. At a light just before I get out of town an '06 F430 pulls up next to me. Sweet car. It's pretty much a straight open road to where I'm going. Again I'm in no hurry & as it turns out neither is the Ferrari.
We cruise up to Tenn. together & as it turns out he is going the same place I am. Got to talk to the driver & look over the car.
This is North Alabama, to say Ferrari's are rare would be an understatement.

kenchan 09-12-2013 09:04 AM

sounds like fun. ferarri's in my area just blows away everything on the road including honda odyesseies. they fast.

for me, placed new gas can with extended spout on my garage shelf. :p will make a dedicated spot for it over the weekend.

My Gopoint Bluetooth OBDii unit came in the mail yesterday! Unfortunately Z is still in the shop getting her new tranny mounted, so I put it on the Fj to play around with it. (till 2 am)

I can't wait to run it around the track and start seeing: throttle inputs, g-pad, torque, fuel burned etc superimposed on my run video!

What a cool tool!!!!!

Installed the Password:JDM engine compartments. No problems.

Installed cooling plate but now the hood won't shut flush on the passenger side. I trimmed around the washer fluid and to no avail. I think I just wasted a lot of money on a bad mold. I give this plate two big thumbs down.

On a better note, I ordered the Seibon TS Style Hood today.

Got my silverguard plus cover today to wash her down and tuck her in, while I am in NY for 2.5weeks. Awesome cover and a Z logo on it and the storage bag!

It's the proclip holder. They're 2 piece, one specific to the car, one to the phone. That way you get a perfect fit but they're expensive. To me it's worth it.
