I put the camera back today but fog, then road constrution limited my fun.

Jerry lee lewis....btw-1-your driving (lol) still makes me nervous to watch!! And 2-your steering wheel looks too small in your hands! Is it a mod or is that the std one?! Lol!

On topic: raining here for the last three days so i just poke my head in the garage and grin like a fool at the hot car! How can i still be so foolishly crazy about this car after 5 months (omg-its been 5 months ) :happydance: :driving: :woot:!

When are you going to start your own build thread? ;)

Joepro 09-27-2012 09:00 PM

With winter coming up the car will get stored, and it has been slow at work... almost done for now, just a few more things before winter!

Even brand new and pouring rain these tires hooked up really well, I am excited for some dry roads :happydance:

It is the stock steering wheel. Still no one has figured out the singer. I knew who I was listening to and I thought it was Elvis as well. I will rep everyone the answer so you win just by playing, as long as my reps hold out.

Driving home today was a stark contrast from yesterday. Just another car in a string.

:iagree: I think I would definitely have more fun setting up some cones to figure 8 around or something similar :driving:

I did this last night after work...except I was using light poles at either end of the abandoned parking lot as apexes....getting a feel for what kind of feedback this car gives at varying levels of grip....and then doing some big slides just for fun.

GaleForce 09-28-2012 03:12 PM

I get same giddy feeling. Love my car and gave her a strange mixture of beating (the infuriating stop and go traffic drive out of city) and pampering (wiping her sown then car-covering her lovingly in parking lot while I travel for a few days). I set anti theft map just because its fun!

I actually have the ramp extenders for them too. I forgot to use them :p. I will have to use them when I finally get my front lip installed.

Robi Spec Chassis Bar installed. I had it powder coated to look like the OEM Bar. It's close to the same color. All the bolts are 8.8 Grade or better that's holding it in.
Now I have a good place to secure my Harness to.

The stock bar is mostly for looks. It is not suitable for using a harness with.

Does the bar add rigidity or handling in some way? Because as far as looks, I could live without it.

Possibly adds some rigidity for the chassis, though, I haven't read any reports from people who have "properly driven" their car without it. You could be the guinea pig  :driving:

What kind of brake fluid Dot 3,4 or 5.1? And was your clutch fluid dark like mine was?

The Z in the shot belongs to Curtis -- Mr. ZForce. He went with DOT 4 and the old fluids were nasty looking.

blackcherry20 09-30-2012 12:20 PM

:( HU installer decided it was too much for him he is referring me to an expert in town...dang it. At least I am getting it back today, I can get it cleaned up and maybe drive it to work tomorrow...ahhh-my Z will be home tonight.... :)

Thanks man! I thought it would be raspy but it isn't that much. lol I'll be getting the Amuse Titanium X pipe and hope that it sounds better after. I'm also thinking about Meisterchaft rear muffler. Are there any other companies that make an axelback for the Z?

Not that im aware of, sounds like some good plans ahead. I thought I picked up some rasp on my High flos but it seems they are more with test pipes. Although some is there especially when in garage and revved. The sound in garages def make the Z sound monstrous. Love it.
