A decent inspection is what, like $150? A fresh set of tires $1,500 and some fluid changes and alignment $500. Add a nice full detail at $250 and you're looking at almost $2,500 to refresh the car. Granted, not all this may be needed but new isn't that bad an option.

If $5k breaks your bank why buy a $30k+ sports car?

I don't think i'll ever buy new again. Bought my current 2006 Civic Si used, other than a recall on second gear, not a dime spent on it. My 370Z Roadster is a 2011 that is absolutely loaded and had a $49,000 sticker. I still have a two year bumper to bumper warranty and I paid NOWHERE near that for car that was on the road for 2 days short of 1 year.

I have a had a lot of bad luck when buying used cars. I have owned about 5 cars that I bought used and 4 of them had major problems. So for the 370z I just went to the dealership and bought it new after I talked them down 4k. I couldn't be happier with my choice and I know how my car has been driven since day one.
