370Z spare tire

He has a roadster.

Spare tire not included, except in Maryland. In lieu of spare tire, a tire repair inflator canister is included. See owner’s manual for instructions regarding proper use of the emergency tire sealant and replacement of tire pressure sensors. Continuing operation of vehicle without permanent tire repair can lead to a crash.

yah, definitely a waste of money to use that fix-a-flat thing.

new tire + tpms + mount/balance + programming tpms will be almost $400 for one frikken tire.

I've seen a sport spare on here recently for as little as $100 plus shipping. I sold my extra one for right around $200 incl shipping.

i rather have a way to get home/service station than use a fix-a-fat thingie which will probably not work that well on low profile tires especially in cold weather, ruin the tire, possibly TPMS, just for a nail puncture...

And what if you have a passenger?

I have checked with several sources including tire rack and all said the gunk doesn't hurt the tire or the TPMS. Washes off easily when you get the tire fixed.

According to my user manual, some dealerships offer a spare and some don't. The parts dept clerk at Woodchester Nissan in Mississauga ON where I bought the Z didn't seem to know much about spares. He told me a spare would cost me about $1400 for a matching aluminum alloy rim then so much for the tire. Then he said it wouldn't fit in the trunk anyway so I'd need a plain steel 17" or 18" rim and tire to fit into the spare's depression in the trunk. No mention of a special donut tire. Less than helpful. I'm transferring my flag to another dealership.

I actually had a look at my spare last weekend. Took it out just so I'd be familiar in case it was dark, shitty weather etc and make sure it has 60 psi. I was surprised at how nice the actual spare rim looks.

I have a red 2012 sport, I was thinking black rims on the red would look fantastic now this really has me wondering if I should go aftermarket 19" black rims. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
