The "Rep Power" number is directly proportional to your post count. It represents how much rep others receive when you rep them.  Edit: Also, if you receive rep from people with a red bubble and/or negative rep power, it has no effect on your rep. It just means that they have specifically requested that their rep carry no points with it. Their reps show up in your control panel with a grey square instead of green.
