One of the portfolio managers in my office came back to tell me about it and I said at least they aren't jacking off to some porn. Which the SEC is known to do.

It did sound really cool. Heard my tires and then the big crash sound from impact. My hearing was extra sensitive because I was trying to listen to see which side of the car I was going to rip off... left or right. :bowrofl:

Wow! So glad to hear you're ok man! You know what's sad about leaving extra car lengths gap? Every azzhole out there wants to fill it. :shakes head:

Today we run through soemetechnology issues with their IS dept and show a few key workflows. If I don't blow it, then the deal is done. Sales has their pricing ducks in a row, their management team has signed off, and we have delivered proof of concept to all other departments. There you go.

Hey Ken! I must admit that the MS3 is :yum: I don't really care for the SP1, but thats just my opinion. Can you get 'em without the step lip? How much do those weigh compare to your Weds?

i prefer to have step lip on the MS3 if i can get it that way, but SSR is not very descriptive on which offset/lip allows for the stepped lip. it's just lacking too much info on their site and dealers dont apparently know much about the wheel.

i think the weight is going to be 25lbs or so. not expecially light. this is another reason why i am not extremely hot on wheel shopping right now. my weds are about 22lbs running DW's which saves total static weigh of 5lbs per corner. that's a lot of unsprung weight saved.

i just want to have 2 sets. i might end up getting another set of weds.

Yes, and the problem is the window drops-halfway thing doesn't happen all the time… hard for them to see to real cause but they are spending time to try to fix it. I saw how they do it once, and it is a pain in the bu!! to adjust the window...:ugh2:

yah, good luck with your car too, mr.alcheng!

dogdamn, we're updating our security system and was hoping to get a smaller camera for the porch. i saw the camera arrive and... wtf...this thing is the same size. need to ask the wife to return and reorder. im looking for a small indoor camera which i will mount on the window from inside the house adjacent to the door at chin height. wife does all the network stuff so i was relying on her to get us the updated camera.... hummm....

Pintsize725 06-27-2012 03:56 PM

Very tempting deal just presented itself. Hmm... need opinions. I can get the LTH for free if I pay for the uninstallation from another 370z. Anyone know what the going rate would maybe be?

kenchan 06-27-2012 04:02 PM

hi pint- i would question WHY this person wants the LTH removed from his car.

honestly i dont think playing with headers is a good idea unless you can do the install yourself. why? ive had cracked headers (brakets) in the past on my other cars... and remember having to replace several times. :icon17:

He has been trying to trade his Z in since I bought the exhaust from him. He could never find a buyer for the headers so he hasn't been able to trade it. He wants to trade it because he lost his company truck and needs something with a bit more room.

hummm... i seriously doubt dealers will not take trade-ins just for aftermarket headers.

ive traded/sold modded cars in the past with no issue. why do you want the LTH? the car is plenty loud and fast with the FI catback, no? im using a fujimura-auto muffler only with great results. :)

 sounds like a plan. GL!

kenchan 06-27-2012 04:50 PM

hey so kami sent me the disk to get for the SSR MS3. :) checking availability, so will need to wait till tomorrow.

not sure about the weight though. if its over 25lbs i will search for another wheel i guess. stock sports were like 23-24lbs + 31lbs for tire = 55lbs max. i suppose running PSS at 26lbs each, i can still get away with the SSR's being 28lbs for about the same gross weight. just not a mod any more, just cosmetics. hummm...

my weds at 22-23lbs and 26lbs tires are about 49lbs max vs 55lbs stock. that's 6lbs lighter per corner. that i can obviously feel in braking. :p

Uninstall costs are very possibly more than the headers are worth.

Long tube header install is quite an undertaking on the z

SPOHN 06-27-2012 05:32 PM

That's unfortunately a very subjective question. :( It depends on whether the individual has experience with the Z and the proper tools to perform the work. My Tech thinks nothing of the "demon" bolts because he works with them all the time. In fact, he doesn't even call them "demon bolts"! :rofl2:
