2. He calls animal control . Animal Control captures the coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.

3. He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.

4. The Governor goes to a hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and getting his bite wound bandaged.

5. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while the Fish & Game Commission conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now free of dangerous animals.

6. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote awareness program" for residents of the area.

7. The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.

8. The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack. The State spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes.

9. PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files a $5 million suit against the State.

The Governor of Texas is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A Coyote jumps out and attacks his dog.

1. The Governor shoots the coyote with his State-issued pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.

2. The Buzzards eat the dead coyote.

And that, my friends, is why California is broke and Texas is not.

Hahaha! :bowrofl:

Stop me if you've heard this one... Well OK you can't, and you probably have. But it's my favorite joke. Anyway...

A bear and a rabbit are pooping in the woods. The bear turns to the rabbit and says, "Hey, rabbit, do you ever have problems with crap sticking to your fur?"

The rabbit looks disgustedly at the bear and says "No, I don't."

So the bear wipes his *** with the rabbit.

Love the grill  I would consider doing that with a Z hatch (not mine!) for the sheer volume of grill space :icon17:

Taking the Z to Perry's Steakhouse for their amazing pork chops and delicious margaritas (they're only open for lunch on Friday). Should have brought the Acura so I could valet; now we'll have to drive around for parking :shrugs:

alcheng 08-03-2012 11:16 AM

Good Morning Everyone!!! TGIF!!

Went to the Efeta meet last night and there were TONS of cars there as usual, saw a McLaren MP4-12C... :yum:

Eventually we have 4+1 Zs, '+1' because he left earlier so the four of us stay till like 11ish, here's a crappy pic:
http://www.the370z.com/members/alche...ure53476-a.jpg

There was a Supra next isle to us doing a rev-up making so much noise and flames...

At one point I thought they are using the flame to have a barbeque... :bowrofl:

And I also found this car:
http://www.the370z.com/members/alche...ure53475-a.jpg

Forgot the name but it starts with Austin...

Gonna go there again next week and hopefully we will have more than 4+1 Zs..

I arrived the site at 9pm and not until 10pm the other Z came... I was surrounded by all those 'shoot-up' civic and WRX... :ugh2:

But once we have all 4 Zs and we moved to the main parking lot, it draws quite a bit of attention...

He said it's the taste.

For a hot minute, I wished my Z was my old MS3.
My light kit just does not fit in the Z, so it's another day of driving the Ranger for me.

Footloose301 08-03-2012 03:32 PM

I went to the gym in the Z, then detailed it and got lunch. Then, drove it home thru the rain on the way home....

That quote is WAY too high. Spring install is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours for a person who is not doing it for the first time. I can do 4 springs on a Z in under 4 hours and I am almost as old as God.

A 4 wheel alignment should be in the neighborhood of 60 to 70 bucks -- tops. Shop around or bring her out to Sacramento and we will do it for you for the cost of a couple nice lunches and friendly conversation.

Must be New York pricing. Auto work is probalby the only thing in California that tends to be less than the rest of the country.

wstar 08-03-2012 05:45 PM

Maintenance/work day for my car, with two events coming up in the next month or so.

Put it up on 4 jackstands, took off the bumper, the undertray, all 4 wheels. Rebuilt the piston seal / dust boot stuff in the rear calipers, replaced the rear rotors, put some new heat shield thingies behind the front pads, flushed some new brake fluid through the whole system, cleaned and re-oiled the K&N air filters, replaced PCV valves, cleaned MAFs, reset ECU, reset idle air volume, changed oil and filter.

Last weekend was the front caliper rebuild and rotors, new front bearings, new tie rod ends.

Needs a visit to an alignment shop next week :P

Fire 08-03-2012 05:49 PM

Sounds like a productive day wstar. :driving:

I DO need a vacation! Tempting offer. Alignment is only 89 in the quote above.
