mr.onzedge- wow 47" sounds great! sorry to hear about the heat. i had to deal with humid 100F+ for several weeks in July. it was HOT. :ugh2:
so frikken hot i didnt get to do much outdoors with the kids.

mr.davey- :hello: i had to add oil on a regular basis until about 8k miles. from there it's slowed down considerably. this was the same way with my G when i got her 8yrs ago.

yah, i had 2 Fits back 2008-2011. i sold my 08' as i couldn't stand the pedal position and it's been in a fender bender. carmax gave me a great price so just let it go. :p i did one full year with the G as full time dd. worked out okay, im still not a fan of putting kids in the back seat in bad weather...and not being able to carry anything, ive been looking for a hatch the last 4-5months.

the current Fit's pedal position is 10x better; not as good as G and Z but for a family car it should do just fine. now i can finally carry my wheels and music gear around too, whenever.

sounds like a good way to get out of the house, ms.pint! enjoy your drive. :p

goodAM, ms.blackcherry :hello: GJ on the Z detailing.

:icon18: just another good excuse to go home in your Z to get the stuff.

Mr. Kenchan -- Where are the Fit pics? Hmmm?

mr.onzedge- hummm... i forgot to take a pict this am when i moved it out of the way to pull out my Z. :icon17:

it's a bonestock Fit still, so not very exciting to see. i think im going to get springs for it even though it rides nice. prokits are in-stock right now at tirerack with a 10% rebate. :p the ride is already soft so i dont expect the sway to be much worse running progressive rate springs.

With my 2011 I added about 1/3 quart at 1200 miles and every time I checked after that it was close to the H. In fact, this oil I put in is from the rest of the quart of oil I bought for that car! :icon17: I hope I get this lucky again with my 2012.

I hope you enjoy your Fit. Are they as fun to drive as they look? I had a 2005 Si and it was OK, it did understeer a lot though.

:confused:Sounds fishy to me-we waited very patiently for kenchan (and Alcheng-teehee) to make a proper decision on the best car...decision made...congratulations handed out...kenchan finds his way home to wife and minis...but still no photos of newest addition to kenchan family! :shakes head: :bowrofl::p

I was thinking NISMO because I would have the Nissan dealer install it, but then, I do have a good shop that I think will do it for not too much, so I guess I could do any exhaust!

Since I had not considered other possibilities I would have to say I am just at the very beginning of my search. I bookmarked that site you gave me, though and I've been looking at all of those.

Installing a CBE should take less than 2 hours in a shop, and it is just a bolt-on application.

I don't think it has to be done by the dealer also dealer will charge you heavily.

It really depends on your budget, I say from $950(Invidia) to $1400(F.I.) does give you something very nice in sound and look. Performance wise, mod on CBE alone will not give you a significant boost, so you can omit those numbers... :icon17:

Have fun shopping!!

Gave her a long overdue proper bath today. She's been sitting in the driveway since my Schumacher-at-Spa-in-the-rain-back-in-his-Farrari-days-like drive around Baltimore's beltways three weeks ago.
My neighbours must think I'm mental when they see me lying on my back underneath the rear end as I clean my exhaust.

Think I'm gonna throw a few craft beers in the cooler and make a run out to Shakedown BBQ.
There's a location near there that I need to scope out for a photoshoot, too.

davey- i noticed on mine when i topped it off to the top dot the car would burn oil to about 3/4 full on the dipstick and stop. so i kept it at near 3/4 full until just recently (im at 10.2K miles).

Eh? I'm not really Canadianese, I only play one on TV.
I was hanging out at The Speakeasy and complaining to my friend behind the bar about Brooklyn and how much I hate hipsters. Her co-worker looked at me and said, "You're wearing a plaid shirt and a bow-tie. You kinda fit the hipster mold dressed like that" to which I replied, "I don't have enough disdain to be a hipster and my sneakers are Gucci. There's no way I could be a hipster in these!"

Time to get some sauce under my nails. :yum:

:hello: all, I'm back State side. Was a good trip to Mexico. Weather was great except for a few days. Temps were 90 day, 75-80 night.

We were hit with a category 1 hurricane and the next day the beach was gone  All the hut looking things on the beach were down and the beach bar was :ugh2: The pier was washed away completely. Other than beach damage, a few downed palm trees, and some of the straw roofing blown away, the resort was ok.

No Z sightings down there, the Nissan dealership I saw didn't even carry them. Do they export 370Z to Mexico I wonder?

I drove my Z tonight for some 80 miles and it felt great. Good to be home :icon17: :driving:

If i'm not mistaken if they break your window and drive off without the keys, they can drive as far as they want. You only need the key inside to turn it on or open/close doors. People on this forum have accidentally driven off to work while leaving their keys at home...

Correct. Anyone can drive away in a running 370 and they are fine until they stop the engine. BTW -- an amazing number of vehicles are stolen because people leave their friggin cars running while they "just run into the store for a water/pack of smokes/tall-boy bud/chore-boy pad, etc."

Maybe they like to keep the AC running? Maybe they want to save wear and tear on the starter? Who knows the reason, but it is not a good practice.

It is the fourth day of very high heat and I am crabby about it. I am very crabby. Oh well. I did wash Juke and 370 today. Then I washed Opie in the kitchen sink. He got a nice oatmeal conditioner and a comb out as well. Then Taylor and I went out in my AC-less F150 for TV shopping for him and ended up with a nice Samsung LED 46". That's about it.

Settling down now for a dinner of Ziti, followed by Episode 5 of Breaking Bad (with Butter Finger ice cream and caramel sauce). I am wrapping up today with some more photo printing (a couple of 12 X 18) and then build my schedule for next week. I suppose that's all.
