Sorry to see shado is leaving :crying: I will miss his posts and brutal honesty

On a Z related note, I do plan to wash it today.

Where is Mr. Shado going? I hope it is not prison or deportation.

Not many Zs but other variety of Porsches and a Ferrari, Lotus, etc. Coffee good. Blueberry scone for breakfast. Got to hobnob with the elite--parked next to a 40th Anniversary. Some folks wandering around, asking questions, especially concerning the 7AT and paddle shifters. My comment was that it was rather easy and sporty to drive because the transmission, in manual mode, downshifted rather aggressively on its own during braking. Easy enough to drop one more gear if needed or simply to begin shifting back up through the gears.

Motored my Z and QD'd afterwards. Was a great drive. :p will check out later how the Olympus mic did. :p

Davey 07-21-2012 09:55 AM

I put about 150 miles on mine, still 1000 to go for break-in, but I know what to expect so it's not quite like waiting for Christmas morning or anything. :)

Alchemy 07-21-2012 10:10 AM

Pintsize725 07-21-2012 12:10 PM

Afternoon guys, late check in here. Waiting to see if Mr. ShoFamous is going to head out to a small Austin show with me. We are both going Z-less.

No plan, just been busy aka lazy! :icon17:

Just got finished washing three weeks of road grime off the Z, and then did the first detail on mrs. gurney CR-V.

From left to right - Guru, hung-over/ten-shot Joe, the elusive ms. pint (yes, she is that tiny), smorice, and Ron (who wasn't feeling too good either). In the background is Enchanted Rock.

Have a great weekend all. :tiphat:

BTW - a big group from Houston headed up to Dallas for the Cup Cake Charity car show this morning. Someone ran Guru off the road and he banged a fender. The other Z's got the fool's plate number and he now has a warrant out for hit and run.

Alchemy 07-21-2012 01:40 PM

Gasket finished. Exhaust sounds good again, for now. At this rate I have a feeling Ill be doin this again before the summer is over.

kenchan 07-21-2012 01:46 PM

Mr.gurney- Thanks for the pict.

mr.alchemy- good work! Hope it stays that way~~!

scanall 07-21-2012 01:58 PM

Had a new OEM Nissan windshield installed. Insurance did not want to do OEM but they did finely. Short story all windshields are not the same.

happytheman 07-21-2012 01:59 PM

Did you get a crack in the OEM one?

scanall 07-21-2012 02:02 PM

A rock hit it had about a 7 inch crack

happytheman 07-21-2012 02:27 PM

Was the rock kicked up by a semi truck?

Sorry to hear.

I got my yard and house chores finished so I can wash the Z once it cools off. Only problem it my wife is finishing up her CPA exam this afternoon and will most likely want to celebrate with a few drinks. As fun as that can be, it will shoot my productivity in the foot for the rest of the day :ugh2:

ms. pint - Team Houston is hoping to hit Austin in about a month with about ten cars. The Oasis is on the agenda for dinner Saturday night.

Will let you and mr. JAR know when we have some solid dates.
