Greetings from Battle Lake, MN!!! |
Today it was 100 degrees here so I removed my dealer sticker. EVERY LETTER was a seperate piece, plus a line separating the dealer name from "NISSAN" and two letters in a circle. :shakes head:
A few squirts of naphtha, a little polish, and some quick detailer, and all evidence is gone. :happydance: Then I put another 50 miles on the car. It needs to be washed... My deionizer thingy is supposed to be here tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to get it all cleaned up and looking sharp this weekend. |

are you having issues with oil temps? ive not had one issue even during the hot summer days. the only thing i use is mobil1 silver cap and factory oil filter. :icon17: and i drive pretty spiritedly at times. so you're already lowered then? |
Quote:
Oil temps I dont have too many issues but on our spirited cruises they do get up to 240. Its less because of oil temp issues and more for general safety and to protect the engine. From what I read the optimal temps are 180-200 after that there will be slight bogging down, after 220 especially. One day I may also decided to track or autocross it so I'll definitely need one then. Since I want to keep the car a long time, I figure it's a good investment. I use red line oil , and it did help keep the temps maybe 5 degrees lower. Well the story with the lowering is that because my CPA exam swallows my time :ugh2:. The swifts springs are in my garage, and I'll just wait to get camber arms and install it all at once. |

ahh, so you're going to be ready to have a new setup when you're done with your CPA stuff. which reminds me... i need to get my G's alignment soon. i hit a pretty big bump the other day on the road from all the heat where the asphalt raised up like 5-6inches. wasn't expecting that. |

And yes once CPA is complete I will buy somethign :happydance: |

when i had my old wrx it was terrible. i suppose i couldve played with closed-loop map... that was like 10yrs ago. :icon17: actually that was the car that made me realize there's no substitute for displacement. my G has really no issue in the summer day. a tad softer, but not weak like 4banger turbo's. |

i tried some photoshop to change the finish to other colors like gunmetal, black, etc but on these wheels the factory color seems to have the most pop. when i changed to darker colors, the wheels looked kinda cheap. :ugh2: i will let my Weds do the dark wheel theme. :icon17: hahaha. |
