Congrats  Today was my wife's last day at a public accounting firm. She is going into the private sector to work for a small international firm that runs a variety of companies doing things like bicycles tours in London and Paris and Segway tours in a few US cities as well as some mobile trailer vending like snow cones and frozen yogurt.

I hope that you are posting this from your new job, using your new job equipment and on your new job clock.

Hear me when I say that it is extremely important to get management's expectations set very early.

Anyway, congratulations.

Agreed. Fantastic advice!

The appraisal was crap, which I was afraid of since it was in an accident :( My wife hit a tow truck with it and managed to mess up the tow truck worse than her car (she hit it's fender/tire) and both had to be towed from the scene. I was pretty impressed, frankly.

Yup :shakes head:

Base ILX comes with paddle shifters which my wife tried out, and she thinks she'll really like them. Its a 2.0L with 150hp and gets 28/35 mpg. The nice thing is a base Acura comes with a lot of the features you have to upgrade to in a Honda. The interior is technically cloth, but there is actually a lot of leather even on the seats and doors. Bluetooth and USB connections are standard as well. So all in all, I think we weren't necessarily in the right place to do what we did, but the dealership worked with us and got our monthly payments where we wanted them for a 3 year lease with 15K mi/yr allowance. I think she is just glad that we don't have to worry about shelling out $$$ to fix the Honda down the road.

:hello: Happy Saturday everyone. I'm just plugging away at these reports this morning. Hoping I'll have a chance to wash the car, but we've got a good bit of cleaning to do around the house before company comes over this evening.

Here is a Z story -- today, replacing the rear PSS, realignment, coolant flush and replace and all 4 coolant hose replacement with my groovy, far-out red Z1 silicone hoses (using some fancy hose clamps Colin talked me into).

Next Friday, I am actualy showing the 370 at the "First Friday" show in Roseville, CA.

First Friday | Fountains at Roseville

First Fridays-Fountains at Roseville: 7/6/2012, 6:00pm at Fountains at Roseville - Sacramento Bee

I was thinking of browsing through some thrift stores this week to pick up some random trophies and plaques( bowling, science club, whatever) -- to set in front of my Z.

LOL I could send you my East Coast Nationals 370Z Mod First Place or my All-GM Carlisle Award of Excellence or a Karate trophy or speed skating or LOL. Oh have I ever mentioned that I think people who display trophies at shows are tools??

Fire 06-30-2012 08:05 AM

If people where supposed to display trophies in thier cars the cars would have display cabinets in them. :stirthepot:

Nice! One of my favorite trophies is "100% Attendance". My parents might still have mine from 1st grade if you are interested in it :bowrofl:

Yours doesn't?!? In that case, I recommend using some high temperature resistant adhesive and just gluing them to your hood :roflpuke2:

BTW: Another reason to love the Juke below:

Fire 06-30-2012 08:15 AM

You have got to be juking? Are those PSS pins on your uniform? That is an extreme unwarranted display of rubber.

I never, ever, ever Juke around. You all should know that by now.

I applied for a personalized plate that says: JUKIN A

I am waiting for it to pass the CA DMV Gestapo censors. We will see.

What about JUKIN EH. Gale would love that. Have a great BBQ Gale. Well guys have to go. Only 1/3 thru my 36 hour weekend. :icon23:

Hey all! :hello: Checking in from Miami! The traffic down here is disturbing. People do NOT know how to drive down here (even worse so than Daytona). Thankfully, once we made it to Miami Beach we've taken cabs and just let them deal with it!

Wazup, alchemy! driver side click can be the rear axle center nut. Torque to 133lbs.

JARblue 06-30-2012 09:53 AM

Finished one report. Going to help the wife do some cleaning now. Crossing my fingers I'll get to the Z today. I'll probably be pulling the trigger on some new OEM door handles today so I can get them painted w/o any downtime. Considering sending them to Mike the Powdercoater for him to test out whether they can be done or if they melt.

JARblue 06-30-2012 09:59 AM

10 more post to 1K. I was going to go troll post on random threads but I think I'm going to let it come organically. Although, organic really isn't my style. I like my meat and milk like I like my women - full of hormones! :icon17:
