Awesome. Just removed mine. Trickiest part was just getting the IPDM out enough to release the cover clips at the bottom.

Very slick. Never figured it would have its own dedicated fuse!

2009 Magnetic Black Touring w/SP

I just now went out into my parking lot here at work removed the fuse in about 10 minutes. Just make sure you kind of help the harness out away from the body cavity. Once I got the fuse box up and out of the way I was even able to retreive the 3 little round black clips that I dropped down in there while taking off the plastic thing around the battery off. Car started right up.
It felt like the scene in the movie National Treasure when he inserts the pipe into the wall and says " Is it really this simple? " right before he opens the treasure room.

You guys are great, thanks, reps

P.S. Such a tiny little fuse to fix such a potentially fcked up problem. I'm going to drill a hole in mine and put it on my key chain just to remind me that there are some things we can do

ONZEEDGE , No but a huge RUSH fan as you can see.
By the way, don't be afraid to pull on the rubber strip part, its not glued, just has its own little clips

Rush has been one of my favorite bands since I bought the Caress of Steel LP when it released in '75.

Yes, I am that old.

I ordered the harness before this fix was posted, otherwise I would pull the fuse. Since I already committed to the harness I don't want to cancel on the member who went to a lot of time & effort plus buying the parts. For $50 it's an easy install and no anxiety wondering if pulling the fuse is creating an issue that we don't yet know about.
But I'm sure glad that I wasn't a Nervous Nellie and spent $500 on a new lock.

I did the same, i don't want to bail on the guy. What if we need something else from him in the future. I'm glad you guys found this and have repped for a great job.

I agree with this post. I also ordered the harness before the fuse was known. For $50 bucks I really don't care honestly. I'm more than happy to install the harness instead of pulling a fuse.
