It's more responsive to driver inputs, especially the steering wheel. Go cart like feel

The seats are way more bolstered than the z.

It is slower, but sometimes it isn't about speed. That's why the miata is great.

Would I trade my z for one? No, it's a different beast, I'm a sucker for horsepower and torque.

Would I ever buy one? Yes. For the price nothing new in that range will give you a better driving experience.

Going from that car then hopping into the z, you can quickly feel the weight difference, which is what makes it fun.

It's hard to lose weight but easier to gain horsepower. Once the sti version comes out I'd be glad to switch.
1st: Are you sure you are not the fanboy?
2nd: Again are you sure you have driven one and can actually say it is more responsive? Hell there is a review on here talking about the lack of responsiveness in the frz. The Z's steering is hydro where as the frz is electronic is it not? How do you get realistic feel back into your hands when it is electronic?
3rd: Yes the miata is great, but not so much out the box again when compared to the Z or more exspensive cars that are built with performance in mind from the factory.
4th: Why would I buy something only to have to do MAJOR WARRANTY DENYING MODS to make it really fun to drive?
5th: I do agree with the speculative sti version, but till it hits the streets, we still dont know anything really about it besides specualtion.
6th: I snagged my base sport with 19k on the clock for the same price, so for the price, there is much better options available right now. But then again mine isnt brand new, but I do still have a 7yr 100k bumper to bumper warranty. So with that being said 0k vs 19k miles are irrelevant when you get on a track.

How am I a fanboy? I'm just opened to options.

Yours is used im talking new for new. In its price range.

My friend has a brz so yes I've driven it plenty of times back to back, and know what they feel like.

The miata is probably one of the best handling cars ever made, you are blinded by your z lol. Just stop talking.

So I guess it beign "NEW" makes it better than? I dont remember being "NEW" made a difference specs or performance wise? The miata is still slow from the factory on a track, whether it is a straight line or curved. And I never said it doesnt "handle" well and I did say it was a great car, I just said it is slow. Falls in the same catagory as the frz. Slow+great handling still = slow.

Reading comprehension kills you.

I never once said it was fast.

Reread my damn original post.

I also said I'm a sucker for Hp and torque so my z is here to stay.

What I did say was fast isn't always the definition of fun which is why there's a market for miatas and brz, lotus Elise, mini coopers.

You are blinded by your z and is a fanboy. I'm done arguing.

Again I'm comparing new to new, yet you can't grasp that concept.

Learn to stop paper racing and actually drive those aforementioned cars. They all provide a unique go cart and very responsive handling feel, which is what some people like.

I am a car person. Who enjoys gocarts when they go slow? I want a gocart that goes fast. Now the elise sport clips almost identical numbers to the z, but even used come in around $30k. Not comparing apples to apples there when referencing the frz. If I wanted a go cart experience and go fast I would have gotten a VW r32. The only thing I guess the frz wins in is that it is "new". Guess your trump card beats all of mine....

Now if I was ill-informed, had $27k to spend, and it had to be "new", wait a minute, I am a car person, so new doesnt factor in my equation, performance all around does. That my friend is why the frz is not that great in the big picture scheme of things. Great for "new" at $25k, but not "great" for $25k. So many better options out there. There is a laundry list of better all around cars for $25k that have less than 20k miles.

End of story/ close thread
