Same here. It's the only road I can trust to hit over 100. I'll be taking mine down 620 on tuesday, looking forward to the curves.

Most of the interstate roads in TX has upped the limit to 80 in 'rural' areas. This just happened not too long ago.

And yes, the toll road around Austin is pretty uninhabited.. perfect to go WOT in spots.

Really...... Austin is only 2-2 1/2hrs away from Houston. I haven't been to Austin in awhile, but I need to check it out sometime. I would open up the car too if the speed limit was 80mph.

Last time I looked tire companies didn't have a lot of options for 19" sport rims. Are you guys getting them for 18's or 19's?

I have the Yokohama neova and those are much quieter. They handle very well I fact I have not even found the limit on them yet. Just grip and more grip cant wait to auto cross this thing! I took a turn the other day that almost ripped my face off and anything that was not bolted down headed to the right side of my car it was awesome. My vetts never had this much grip.

Seems like different roads and surfaces will cause more noise, be the stock potensas are loud and louder once the tread gets to a little be fore the wear marker.

I've changed over to Nitto Invo's when I went with the 20" wheels, they are heaps quieter then standard bridgestone re050's

I agree, the RE050's are terrible.....im gonna be usin the RE970's i have for the fronts but im gonna go with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S + 's for the rears since they dont have the RE970's for the rear size i want. Eventually will convert the fronts to A/S+ too but why pay for something now i when i have something that will already make me plenty happy now compared to the RE050's

I love the Nitto Invos... got 19s in 285 on the rear. I wasn't originally planning on 285 but Discount Tire didn't have 275 in stock. The 19s are a little difficult to find sometimes, but Discount Tire has always had a few options in stock for me. If they don't have what I want in stock, they generally always get it within 1-2 days.

Not sure why you would get All Season tires unless you don't have a winter vehicle or winter wheels. I loved the Continental DW tires though, not that I tried a bunch of brands, but they were way better than stock and Hankook V12's.

Been using the Michelin Pilot Super Sport for about 3,000 miles. The road noise is decreased by 20%. The handling is increased by 50% just with the tire alone. The OEM's are nasty crap with sidewall flex in the corners. MPSS made the car feel like it was supposed to and I feel they were worth every penny.

Also the hydroplane resistance on the tire is phenomenal. On the OEM tires when I would hit puddles I would feel the car pull out from under me. With the new tires I have yet to have the car steer out from under me. A must have if it rains a lot where you live.
