So my not good car buying experience. It had a steady low pay job ($8.50/ hr) and the Hyundai Tiburon had just come out. I had a stream of used cars, nothing special and my project cars. He said that he could get me in a Accent, I needed a car so I said ok. I had a volunteer fireman's plate he said the DMV would not let me use on the new car?? As I was driving home I noticed that there was only a temp. reg on the windshield?? I called and he said the perm would be sent by the DMV. NY gen. doesn't give out temps. Well after 8 months I finally got it in the mail. Yes I called frequently about it. A month later the dealership called asking if I had a perm. registration. I said yes I just got it. They said that their sales man was stealing the registration money, giving out plates from other vehicles and had a person at the DMV that would issue temp. registrations. He went to jail for it and the person at the DMV was fired and received probation.
