Nowadays the hardware is much better (dual core 1g+ghz 8g RAM min), it can handle the software like a piece of cake, at the end of this year, Q3 as earliest, phone with quad-core 1.8ghz is coming out (ie Galaxy SIII) I don't think we will see too much lagging on the phone
