I think that's the actual Genesis symbol, I'm not sure they swap them.

Similar to the Corvette sign instead of the chevy one.

Huck 04-24-2012 12:56 PM

Yeah I parked next to a souped up genesis the other day at pizza hut. Dropped, blacked out 5AD wheels, exhaust. I gotta give it to him, it looked pretty nice. I noticed that wing emblem on the back. The owner came out, a guy in his early 20's, and actually laughed when he say my Z. Then he got in his car, burned his tires, and took off. I was like wtf was that about?

JARblue 04-24-2012 12:58 PM

I believe the original Genesis simply had a Hyundai emblem. It was a later model that they gave the Genesis its own emblem. Therefore, some have them and some don't. Although, if I had one w/o it, I would definitely swap. And its way sexier than a maxipad :icon17:

I'll be able to give it a good cleaning later this week. For now the Z is back in the warm dry garage  I was going to fill up the tank to make sure the Fuel senders are working properly but I remembered that I want to run this tank out so I can put some 91 octane so I can add a 91 octane map to my existing 94 octane map, just in case...

Good too hear they made a small ramp for you. Sucks about the oil. At least it will help keep the dust down.

Have you ordered the Sonic yet? :rofl2:

Mr. Kenchan, if you really want a small, economical hatch, check out the fiat 500 abarth. The more I read about it, the more I like it. It seems to have the that "fun factor" in it (similar to old GTI and Mini S)

Hey mr.zman. :D. Yah, I've been thinking about the abarth but it wont be able to carry anything. I need utility... so this is why the mazdaspeed3 or GTI has been on my short list. I saw the new CX5 this am... not impressed. It looked like a hyundai. :ugh2:

Ran my Z to the dealership, getting my fuel senders replaced today. Took the techs some nice donuts too. I know when I was in similar type of work, the little things like donuts were always appreciated.

I am not married/no kids so I guess utility isn't a concern for now :icon17:

But between GTI and MS3, I prefer the GTI.

hahaha, i was thinking about carrying my Z wheels to tirerack to get new tires wrapped. :p yah, GTI definitely has a nicer interior... the MS3 has nicer performance... GTI looks kinda ugly, MS3 looks super ugly :ugh2: thus i keep hitting road block.

then i saw how the sonic comes in turbo... and made in michigan... with 6MT..and cheap especially with tier1 discount... :icon14: then i can have utility and another set of wheels for Z. :ugh2::eekdance::icon14: :wtf2:

Fire 04-24-2012 04:32 PM

I doubt anyone can feel a difference between 94 and 91 octane. It's just that, when I got my Uprev done, I had 94 in the tank. It donned on me before I left the tuner that I might have to use 94 octane all the time with the new tune. The Tuner said I would have to. So, I want to get a 91 octane map as a "just in case" I can't find a gas station with 94 octane... I'm sure I could use 91 on my 94 tune and just watch/listen for pinging, until I find 94 but I don't want the hassle.

OFC! :hello:

kenchan 04-24-2012 04:38 PM

mr. gale - OFC!

Fire 04-24-2012 04:41 PM

I thought you where planning on running 91 to save money. Don't know how low I would go with the compression our motors have but 91 sounds safe.

Fire 04-24-2012 04:42 PM
