OMG just hope it doesn't go during ZDayZ. Especially if we are out on a run. Usually we stop at some of the overlooks on the Cherohala Skyway and the turnaround point on The Dragon... it would suck if your car decided to strand you at one of those spots.

Brantly, sorry to hear about the steering lock! But I guess it's good that it happened in your garage instead of somewhere away from home.

I still don't get how this thing breaks. Some people have had no issues at all, others are not so lucky. It seems to happen randomly

 I have been fearing this ever since all these steering locks started failing. If I didnt have to buy a new rear set of rubber before ZDAYZ I would most certainly be replacing my steering lock. Im just hoping, that since I usually have such bad luck, the gods will spare me for a few days while I enjoy the paradise that is ZDAYZ.

These are good pads. A little to much for street tires but they'll be OK. I only paid $100 bucks for them.

:iagree: Stockers are really comfortable and the leather is :yum:, but these things are even more comfy and they won't let me move at all, which is even more :yum:

I took Mini GaleForce out in the G... 6... The local muffler shop had a customer appreciation day and since it was lightly raining, I thought we could get in and get out. They had an Indy car to look at, and they happened to have an Aston Martin there too. He actually liked the Aston more than the Indy car, surprising considering he likes to see the F1 cars on tv. Oh well, killed some time before lunch, and now it's nap time.

i sure do, mr.gale. :eekdance: wat you see cannot be unseen. :icon14: :eekdance:

mr.zman- it appears the spur gear and pinion jams, or the push switches get contaminated from oil spewing out from the gears. it's has too many mechanical parts inside. :ugh2:

Yes, you DID IT AGAIN. :wtf2: :roflpuke2:

In Canada, we have both college AND university. College is more like community college, it's easier to get in and graduate will receive a diploma.
University, is equal to college in the States, graduate will receive a degree.

Yeah, I texted my tech and he says he doesn't think they have one in stock. Versa Time! :ugh2:

Drats, another victim of the steering lock syndrome. Versa was kinda kewl to drive around for a week, made me appreciate the Z much more when I got it back. Btw...I checked with my dealer the other day and he ordered a steering lock and received it two days later, so go figure on the two week wait period, been seeing here.

Under warranty I hope? Mine just went out of OEM warranty a couple of weeks ago....good thing for extended warranty, between speedo cluster and IF I have to replace steering lock then the warranty is 3/4 paid for.

g/l buddy

I went to the UMass Car Show today. I saw a BRZ, a supercharged Audi R8, a Kaizen tuned GT-R, and parked my car in there too. If you want pics of anything I mentioned above, let me know.

Here I am. looks clean. I parked in the sea of white cars. Later, I went on to participate in the car exhaust sound-off which got me a surprisingly good amount of cheer from the crowd! 7500 rpm is all you need. Like my one and only decal? Also wore the t-shirt.

I put my new vanity plates on my new roadster!

ZForce 04-21-2012 05:52 PM

So I picked up the car from dealer the other day with the speedo sticking issue....They replaced it under my extended warranty. OEM warranty ran out 900 miles ago. Cost would have been $1000, cost me my deductible of $50. As expected Murphy's Law kicked in in the day of and it was working perfectly. They could have said TOO BAD SO SAD go home and return when it reoccurs. My photos I took they submitted to NNA and they replaced it. Looks great and works fine...too bad I could not get the 2013 model with blacked out gas gauge.

Happy Sat to The Z Community, I hope everyone is out driving!
