Greetings from ZDAYZ:hello: The Tail of the Dragon is so much more than i expected. Its crazy and quite scary. Saw a Z in the woods on the way up the Dragon when we first arrived yesterday. Just saw the crew of guys at the carwash station and thankfully everyone is ok and the Z seemed unharmed.

Congrats alchemy. Glad nobody was hurt and the car not damaged. Stay safe but have a great time. No shop around here like that. Sounds really good if you get coilovers, you can adjust freq. and ensure that your in alignment.

OK guys off to buff out those marks on the trunk lid. Scary for me as I'm not used to polishers.:ugh2:

The job is in my trade and then some, but here's the rub, the pay is a lot less than expected, and the hours are mediocre. The good thing is travel time is next to nothing, and the work, like already mentioned, is in my field of expertise. It's not the end of the world if I decline the offer, I do have something else I can do, it's not in my field, but the pay is :yum: , but the commute is 40 min one way  ... This is the problem right now, there is a shortage of qualified skilled trades (especially good ones). Everyone needs one, but aren't willing to pay for the experience. Then they are left scratching their heads when they're losing production because of incompetence, or wondering why they have high turn over. :shakes head: Bottom line, my experience is worth more than they're paying. |

i use to travel a lot for business, but since having kids ive cut down about 99%. lol. when my kids are older i might decide to travel more again. at the moment im too busy with picking up the kids, etc since my wife works too. she really doesnt need to work as i can support the family on my own, but she's a very smart girl and likes working, so why not? she hates house chores anyway... :ugh2: (i get to do that :icon14: :wtf2: ) Quote:

hey so i saw this article on cnn where some korean kid posted a vid of his pops's hyundai suddenly accelerating and crashing into a car 2 blocks away in heavy traffic with mom in the passenger seat. noone died apparently, but hyundai must have been copying toyota's design down to the flaws... :ugh2:

Hi guys. Feeling really great right now. I owe it all to the people on this forum. I'm a pretty good mechanic. I was a Jet Mech in the Marines and have done some work on cars. Everything from changing engines (even with different car companies providing the replacement engine) to complete suspension mods. I'm pretty sure I could install either a Stillen or GTM SC. Would need help with the tuning. Now to what has made me soo happy. Ever since coming to the forum I've been doing things outside my comfort zone. Body mods and detailing actually scare me. Drilling into the alum. trunk of a perfectly good sports car isn't something I'm used to. Today I buffed out some areas on the trunk that have bothered me for 2 years. 3 years ago I wouldn't have bought a DA( yes it is a random Kensan) and tried to do it. It was much easier than I expected. Tomorrow I'm doing a 3 step detail of the paint. 1st I'm using a Turtle wax scratch remover, then going to a Maguires Gold wax, and finally an ultimate shine with detail spray and the detail pad of the DA. I'm hoping for a great finish on my car. I'm doing everything short of claying it. The confidence I go into this task is all thanks to the encouragement of the GREAT people here. Thanks again guys(and gals). :worship::vuvuzela::woot:

^^^ I am definitely feeling that "group hug" thing coming on right now.
I agree with Mr. Fire. The people on the forum (who I haven't put on my ignore list) are great folks. |
I agree Onze I'd def. owe everybody here at huge thanks, and hug. In a Z non :supergay: way.
