Hey everyone

Spent my weekend in Montauk, weather was beautiful.

Think I'm going to order the Evo-R 3 piece front lip with CF center. Anyone know how thzstore works with stocking stuff? Like if they have it on their site does that mean it's in stock? I don't see any indicators...

Finally decided to read up on this dreaded steering lock issue I've been seeing mentioned in some posts.
Stuck my head under the steering column and sure enough, I've got a 48700-JF00B on my 2009.

I also have a B steering lock. I'll pretend it's not a problem until it happens... :(

Hi guys. Working on my pool today. Picked up pump and is draining now. Kind of a cool overcast day today. Not that warm. Have to wait for my father to get home to do some more work around the pool.

Well nissan dont make removing this steering lock easy!! These pins are stupid! Whats wrong w using a bolt???? Ugh.

Fire 05-14-2012 10:13 AM

I have a 16x36 inground with 4 foot shallow and 8 foot deep end. For some reason the guy that had the pool put in didn't get a drain in the deep end. WTH. I have a crap load of pine treees that drop a ton of needles into the pool. So it is an all day job to drian, clean out and then fill using the fire departments tanker to refill. Just a note the guy that had the pool installed sold pool supplies out of the garage.

Wouldn't that be defeating the purpose? :tiphat:

That's a nice sized pool you have there. But the drain is completely messed up. Fire truck to fill the pool?
Is that How most people do it?

Rank has it's privileges. I am an assistant chief. But yes we fill many pools every year. We are rural and have wells. Most people don't want to burn up their pump motor or deplete their wells. My pool holds about 18,500 gallons of water. Our tanker is 2000 gallons so approx 9 loads of water, I'll fill my hot tub too.

That makes sense I live in more rural.setting as well (with a water well) and always wondered how my neighbors fill their pool. I Don't think they drain it though, just cover it.

Most of our fills are new pools or ones that had to be repaired due to a hole in the liner. I have to drain mine due to the pine needles. I'm going to have a guy come and give me an estimate to get the trees removed.

I had a guy that was going to do it last winter but he cancelled. Hope in the next month or so the trees will be gone.

Hi Kensan.

Alchemy 05-14-2012 11:01 AM

Ok, got it out. Couldnt get enough grip on it with needle nose pliers. Grabbed a set of regular pliers and cranked it right off. Silly that there isnt just a bolt there  All thats left to do is pack and its off to NC:tup:

m4a1mustang 05-14-2012 11:03 AM

There isn't a bolt there to make it more difficult for a thief to defeat it quickly.

Fire 05-14-2012 11:05 AM

hey there, mr.alcheng. huh, you should take that invoice to the dealer and have them reimburse you. patching a tire is sometimes included in the lifetime warranty by the tire manufacturer. :)
