A small update, finally got my rims and tires on. 245/285, was quite happy with my Costco installation, they took their time and everything went smoothly. After seeing a few threads about letting Costco mount, I was a bit reluctant, but I guess it all depends on the Costco and the employees working there at the time.
Quick cellphone pic with my brothers G. Definitely liking the concave and seeing more of the sport pkg brakes. Color-matching the handles and probably swifts next up on the to-do list  |
cool!

Is anyone going to write about Z's in the "What did you do with your Z today?" thread today?
|
Dammit onze why do we need to be on topic? We where talking about boobs. Anyway I drove my Z to lunch and got it's yearly inspection (inspection was free). Got some buffing compound to remove some scuffs on the trunk lid for the Carlisle show Fri and Sat. :eekdance:

Ok so it ended up being the coil packs that were bad. They swapped em out and there is no more misfire. Final dyno numbers were. 565 whp and 580tq at 17 psi. I told them to hold off on taking it any higher until I get a twin pump and more injector even though there was room to go. Il post dyno sheet later when they email it to me. Gotta update my sig now!

Those numbers are strange Zach711f. Small HP gains but huge torque numbers. Maybe it is a lack of fuel at the higher RPM's.
|
Whoops I mixed up JAR's and Onze's posts LOL :shakes head:
|
No I actually posted the wrong tq last time. They kept everything about the same. Just the colder weather have me some more power on dyno today and no misfire. But the TRq was around 580 before I guess. I don't know why I thought they said a lot less
|
OK that makes more sense Zach711f.

Oh yah and small exhaust leak was tightens up. That makes a world of difference!

More from Houston's Aeros and Autos last Saturday.............................
Hennessey Ford GT hits 212.9 mph in the standing half-mile BTW - John Hennessey actually paid for the airport rental and had all the resgistration fees donated to local charities. |

Finally took it out for a ride..The 370Z and not the Z/28.
For me, the car is great.. Compared to the 350Z, it feels great.. For what I will do with the car, street driving, it works great.. The brakes are good, and the handling and the power are fine for me.. Sure the exhaust isn't the same, but no biggie.. Sure they have an Oil temp gauge, I don't read it. It may have read 210, but if I am only street driving and some traffic in hot weather, I could care less.. The tank is full of gasoline, so I don't worry, and over all , the 2009 Sport/Touring felt great, and looked even better.. But I am 52, so I won't be racing it on the street or modding it.. That is what I have the crazy Z/28 for...Redline and track days.. But Today I drove the 370Z ...Finally. Only the gas Gauge is lame, but that is a pimple..Hopefully I won't have any of the problems 370z's have ,but time will tell.. Today was a good day...except for the hater tailgaters..But haters will hate...No sweat. |
