Thanks..And you can call me Mike..

I used to work in Solar, but changed careers two years ago..

But I will get a GoPro, and I will be ready..

I would have NEVER thought that one of my First events would be WITH the wife..

It may happen...Then I would get to Track the 370Z Sport...NEVER thought that would happen..

Still may not get to ,but when she gets out of the car after driving, she may be so high on adrenaline, she MAY let me take it around..

I am totally willing to have to buy Tires afterwards for the 370Z..

I was looking at the Stock RE050's or Michelin's...

hey mike- i would definitely try the pilot supersports 4-5lbs lighter per corner vs RE050A's. that alone is huge.

Sweet..I was leaning that way, but I wasn't sure..Good to know

The 2009 370Z sport only has 6000 miles on it, but someone had some fun with the Car...Maybe 50% left on the RE050's..

I figure, wear them out this Summer, and get some new one's in the Winter..

Mike,

Brakes... you must upgrade the brakes on the Z, even with the sports-brake. Brake-fluid, brake-line, disc & pads. It's a must unless you want to go brake-less into the barrier after 4-5 laps....

Got it...I read that from you guys...I was surprised but I believe you guys...

So it looks like my Wife will drive the 370Z and I will drive my car...If I drive her car after driving my car, there could be trouble..

I have the 13 inch 6 piston and 12 inch 4 piston Super Lite Willwoods on my Z/28.. I will be good but I may not want to push the 370Z...

I will heed your advise and either take it easy or keep my crazy paws off of it..

Damn this having fun is going to be expensive...

But when I do have the Brakes done on the 370Z, that will be the time to talk to you guys before I change the brake Parts..

I'm so glad I'm not the only middle-aged female who thinks an HPDE day will be a blast. I'm assuming your wife is somewhere around your age; apologies if I'm wrong...

I'm signed up for an HPDE April 21st and 22nd at NJMP Lightning course. I haven't told many people, but about half of them act like I'm mentally deficient for wanting to go. Not sure if it's my gender or my age...

Solar, if I lived in your area, I'd hit up Laguna Seca. I'm sure it's way expensive, but still...

Solarguy, I've done Laguna Seca like shadoquad suggested. Went with Track Masters last year. They're hitting up Laguna a few more times this year if you wanna check it out. Where in the Bay Area are you located?

You go for it...People think I am Nutts..I am 52 and Just spent 30K on my old hot rod in new Mods..

I tell them this is not a "midlife crisis "..First, there is no crisis, and second, at 52 and midlife, that would mean i will make it to 104 years old....I doubt it..So me and the Wife, who is 48, are taking chunks of life...

So I think you are not crazy and have a zest for Life...

Ron, Yes I have heard about the Oil Cooler...

If the wife is driving, I think we would be OK with the stock Brakes and no Oil cooler.

I agree that if I am driving, I am going to need the Oil Cooler AND the better brakes, because I would be pushing it really hard...

I hate to go to the track and only drive my Car, but my car is the only one set up for Track racing...

But good to know and thank you guys for the Tips....I would have just assumed I did not need the Oil cooler, and I would have thought the Bigger Brakes and Aluminum larger calipers, would be enough...

I guess that would be a Mistake..

Hey there...I signed up at trackmasters with my Z/28. I just have to pick the event.

I am in the eastbay..

From the looks of things, the 370Z is not track ready except to let the Wife have some fun...I may not be driving it unless the parts are upgraded..

Once I drive the Z/28 with the willwoods,ect...I cannot hurt My wife's new car...The camaro ? Oh well if something happens, but the 370Z , I would be toast...
